Overview
Recurring services are regular service visits that are typically included with memberships, for example, weekly pool cleanings or seasonal HVAC maintenance. Recurring service events are generated based on the recurring service type frequency. Go to Follow Ups to review upcoming recurring service events and book them into jobs.

Things to know
Recurring services generate recurring events based on the frequency settings of the service.
View the Recurring Services Events screen in Follow Ups. There, they can be booked into jobs.
Recurring services and events appear on the customer’s service location record, not the customer record.
A membership can include multiple recurring services.
A recurring Service Type can be attached to multiple membership types.
Create a recurring service type
Go to the top toolbar and click Settings
.From the side panel, go to Invoicing > Recurring Service Types.
From the Recurring Service Types screen, click Create Recurring Service Type.
Enter the service information in the Add a Recurring Service Type form:

Recurring Service Basics:
Name: Name of the recurring service as it appears in your system. The name does not appear on an invoice.
Tags: Tags that are attached to the service location
Invoice Template: Invoice template includes the services performed during the recurring event. This is used to generate the invoice for the recurring event.
Tip: Typically, the invoice template total equals $0.00. Recurring services are usually included with a membership, which is billed separately.
Display Name: Name that is displayed externally in the Customer Portal.
Estimated Labor Cost: Estimated total hourly wage paid to technicians for one recurring service event.
Job Type Details:
Business Unit: Business unit associated with the service. This is used in job booking.
Job Type: Job type associated with the service. This is used in job booking.
Arrival Window: Select the arrival window interval that you want the recurring service event to be booked at when booking a job.
Note: Account configuration may be required to use this setting. Please contact Technical Support for details.
Job Start Time: Select the time that you want the recurring service event to start once it's booked into a job.

Priority: Priority set when booking the job
Campaign: Marketing campaign associated with the service. This is used in job booking.
Job Summary: Job summary for the service when booking the job.
Schedule Settings:
Recurrence Type: Unit of time the service repeats:
Weekly
Monthly
Seasonal
Daily
Recurrence Interval: How often the service is performed based on the recurrence type. For example, if the Recurrence Type is Monthly and the Recurrence Interval is 3, then recurring events are scheduled every 3 months.
Recurrence Months: If the Recurrence Type is Seasonal, recurring events are scheduled for every selected month on the day of the month the membership is purchased.

Note: The day of the month can be edited in the service location’s recurring service record.
Duration Type: Service is continuous or a fixed number of visits
# of Total Visits: If Duration Type is fixed, the total number of visits included with the service
Tip: If the Recurrence Type is Seasonal, the total visits should be equal to the number of Recurrence Months selected.
Note: If a membership type has recurring service types that are set to number of visits, Deferred revenue will not calculate correctly if you set it to have an ongoing duration.
First visit already complete: If a service is performed at the time of purchase, select to subtract one visit from the # of Total Visits
Auto-adjust events based on previous completion date: For daily recurring service types only. When enabled, it does not generate a new recurring service event until the current one results in a completed job or it’s dismissed.
If a service is completed ahead of schedule, the next event is scheduled based on the job completion date. For example, if a daily recurring service event scheduled for August 10 is actually completed on August 8, the next recurring event is scheduled for August 9.Note: This feature can only be enabled when creating a new daily recurring service event type. The setting cannot be edited.
When you’re done, click Save.
Edit a recurring service type
From the side panel, go to Invoicing > Recurring Service Types.
Click Edit next to the recurring service type you want to edit.
Make your changes in the Recurring Service Type record.

When you’re done, click Save.
Deactivate or reactivate a recurring service type
To deactivate a recurring service type you no longer need:
Go to the top toolbar and click Settings
.From the side panel, go to Invoicing > Recurring Service Types.
Check the box next to the recurring service type you want to deactivate.

Click Deactivate.
A pop-up box will open asking you to confirm you want to deactivate the recurring service type. Click Deactivate.

To reactivate an inactive recurring service:
On the Recurring Service Types page, click the Status filter and then click Inactive.

The list will refresh, displaying only inactive recurring service types.Check the box next to the recurring service type you want to reactivate.
Click Activate.

A pop-up box will open asking you to confirm you want to reactivate the recurring service type. Click Activate.
