Overview
Configure your Opt-In Settings so that you can start capturing consent from your customers to receive marketing messages.
Who uses this feature
- Marketing managers, business owners, and other marketers on your team
- Primarily for Commercial Service & Replacement and Residential Service & Replacement business types
Things to know
- Your SMS marketing registration must be approved for a brand before you can configure the SMS opt-in settings. For more, see Submit SMS marketing registration.
- You must configure your SMS opt-in settings for each brand you want to send SMS messages for.
Configure SMS Opt-In Settings
- Go to the top toolbar and click Settings
. - In the side panel, go to SMS.
- Click SMS Opt-In Settings.

- Click Configure for the brand you want to configure SMS Opt-In Settings for.
- In the Text Message Opt-In section, click Add Phone Number.

- On the Add New Number pop-up that opens, enter the Area Code or ZIP Code you want the number to correspond to.
Note: You can only add a local number to send opt-in requests. You cannot add a Toll-Free number.
- (Optional) If you want your number to include a particular set of digits, enter them in the Contains field.
- Click Search Numbers.

- Select a number from the search results then click Choose Number.

- Enter the Forwarding Number.
- Set the Default Call Type as Lead or Not Lead.
- When finished, click Add Number.

- (Optional) After you add the phone number, you can:
- Add the Opt-In Website Link to your email templates and website that customers can use to opt into your marketing messages.
- Generate an Embeddable Opt-In Form for your website that customers can use to sign up for your marketing text messages.

Note: Recipients can reply to any of your messages with the word STOP to unsubscribe from your SMS marketing communications.
- Any URLs or merge tag links included in your SMS text messages are automatically shortened, giving you more space in your content.
In the Subdomain Management section, enter the subdomain you want to appear in these shortened URL links. This subdomain must be unique and not in use by any other Aspire customers.
- When finished, click Submit.
Add Opt-In Links to your email templates and website
You can add opt-in links to your email templates and website. Customers can then easily opt-in to your marketing text messages directly from your emails or website.
- Go to the top toolbar and click Settings
. - In the side panel, go to SMS.
- Click SMS Opt-In Settings.
- Click Edit for the brand you want to add an opt-in link for.
- Scroll to the Text Message Opt-In section and click Copy Code for the Opt-In Website Link.

- Add the Opt-In Website Link to your email templates or website. For more, see Create email templates.
This link opens the customer's messaging application with the prewritten message, I would like to sign up for marketing text messages!. After the customer sends this message, they'll be opted in for SMS Marketing.
Add an Opt-In Form to your website
You can add an Opt-In Form to your website for customers to fill out to opt into your marketing text messages.
- Go to the top toolbar and click Settings
. - In the side panel, go to SMS.
- Click Edit for the brand you want to add an Opt-In Form for.
- Scroll to the Text Message Opt-In section and click Generate Form to generate your Opt-In Form.
- Click Copy Code for the Opt-In Form.

- Add the Opt-In Form to your website.
Customers can now provide their name and phone number directly on your website to opt-in to your marketing text messages.

Edit SMS Opt-In Settings
- Go to the top toolbar and click Settings
. - In the side panel, go to SMS.
- Click SMS Opt-In Settings.

- Click Edit for the brand you want to update the SMS Opt-In Settings for.

- Update the SMS Opt-In Settings as needed.
- When finished, click Submit.
