Overview

Use the prebuilt Commercial Dashboard to gain a high-level overview of your commercial sales, revenue, financials, marketing, and technician performance all on one screen in real time.

The Commercial Dashboard includes the following sections:


Who uses this feature

  • Administrators, managers, and sales managers

  • Primarily for Commercial Service and Commercial Construction business types

 Feature configuration

  • Account configuration is required to use this feature. Please contact Technical Support for details.

Things to know

  • Click Info next to a key performance indicator (KPI) to open up a tooltip that includes:

    • The report template that the KPI comes from

    • How the KPI is aggregated. For example, whether the KPI is a sum of all values, an average of values, or a count of items.

    • A description of the KPI

  • Click Bookmark icon-bookmark-border.png next to the dashboard name to make it the default option when you open the Dashboard section.

  • Click Filters to edit how the module filters KPIs

    Note: Grayed out Date and Business Units (BU) filters are set by the dashboard filters from the top and cannot be edited for that specific module.

Open Commercial Dashboard

  1. Go to the top toolbar and click Dashboard.

  2. Click the Modular Dashboard dropdown and select Commercial Dashboard. The dashboard opens.

    The dashboard is separated into several sections, each with a set of customized modules.

Note: By default, the dashboard reports on all BUs for the current day. To report on specific dates or BUs, you can filter the dashboard.

Commercial Revenue and Sales section

This section gives you an overview of your revenue, sales, and gross margins.

Business Unit Performance

This module displays the following revenue-related KPIs from the Business Unit Performance report template:

  • Completed Revenue: Sum of all income item prices from invoices on completed jobs with items assigned to the business unit. Income items are invoice items that are mapped to an income General Ledger (GL) account.

  • Adjustment Revenue: Sum of all income items on adjustment invoices dated within the date filter.

  • Total Revenue: Sum of all income items from invoices on completed jobs plus the sum of all income items on adjustment and non-job invoices dated within the date filter.

  • Non-Job Revenue: The sum of all invoice item totals where the General Ledger account type is “Income” and the invoices are not tied to a job, such as Service Agreement invoices.

Business Unit Total Revenue

This module shows a pie chart breakdown of total revenue by Business Units. Each chart section represents a BU.

Tip: Hover over a section to view additional revenue details for that BU.

18 Month Trend

Shows a bar chart of total revenue by month for the 18 months before the end date of the date filter.

Tip: Click Week Trend to view weekly total revenue for the 26 weeks before the end date of the date filter.

Technician Sales Performance

This module reports on the following sales-related KPIs from the Technician Performance report template:

  • Sales Opportunity: Count of completed sales jobs not marked as No Charge. Sales opportunities are jobs that have the potential to sell estimates that meet the sold threshold.

    Note: A job marked as No Charge where the sum of sold estimate subtotals meets the sold threshold is also considered a sales opportunity.

  • Total Sales from TGL: Sum of all income items on sold estimates where the job is a Technician-Generated Lead.

  • Total Sales from Marketing Leads: Sum of all income items on sold estimates where the job is a Marketing Lead.

Estimate Sales

This module looks at the following sales-related KPIs from the Jobs report template:

  • Sales from Leads Created: Sum of sold estimate subtotals sold from Leads generated from jobs completed within the date filter.

  • Jobs Estimate Sales Subtotal: Sum of sold estimates on completed sales jobs.

  • Jobs Estimate Sales Installed: Sum of sold estimate items where the estimate is booked into a job and the job is completed. The Date filter applies to the job where the estimate was sold, not to the job where the work was performed.

At-Glance Your Margins

This module shows gross margin-related KPIs from the Jobs report template:

  • Total Revenue: Sum of all income items from invoices on completed jobs, plus the sum of income items on adjustment and non-job invoices dated within the date filter.  Income items are invoice items that are mapped to an income General Ledger (GL) account.

  • Total Costs: Sum of materials costs, equipment costs, purchase orders, payroll adjustments, performance pay, labor pay, and labor burden.

    Note: Performance pay, labor pay, and labor burden require account configuration. Contact your success or implementation manager for details.

  • Gross Margin: Total revenue minus total costs.

  • Gross Margin %: Percentage of total revenue that is gross margin.

Commercial Opportunities

This module, based on the Estimates report template, reports on unsold estimates. It shows all unwon opportunities with open estimates created within the date filter.

Tip: Click an opportunity number to open the opportunity in a new tab.

Commercial Financials section

This section gives you a high-level view of your revenues, job volume, and payments, including month-over-month and year-over-year trends.

Month-over-Month Completed Revenue Analysis

This module shows a bar graph of completed revenue by week.

Tip: Drag the slider to move the timeline. Expand the slider to increase the number of weeks displayed.

Month-over-Month Completed Job Analysis

This module shows a bar graph of completed jobs by week.

MoM Trend (Month-over-Month Analysis)

This module shows a report of your weekly trends. Each line in the report represents a week. The week number of the year appears in the Period column.

The report also includes metrics for completed jobs, canceled jobs, scheduled jobs, lead calls, and completed revenue.

Tip: To report on daily trends, click the Period dropdown and select Day.

Year-over-Year Analysis

This module shows a bar graph of completed revenue by year.

Year-over-Year Completed Jobs Analysis

This module shows a bar graph of completed jobs by year.

YOY Trends - Completed Jobs

This module shows a report of your yearly trends. Each line in the report represents a month. Columns include job details, completed revenue, total revenue, and total sales.

Tip: Use the Period dropdown to report on weekly and daily trends.

Payments Collected

This module, based on the Applied Payments report template, shows total payments received for jobs completed within the date filter.

At-Glance Outstanding Payments

This module displays a report based on the AR Transactions report template. The report shows outstanding payments including the invoice details, payment terms, payment due date, and more.

Commercial Contract Opportunities section

This section reports on commercial contracts, also known as memberships in ServiceTitan.

Contracts

This module includes a multibar graph of the following details by membership type:

  • Active At End: Count of memberships active at the end of the date filter

  • Renewed: Count of memberships renewed at the end of the date filter

  • Canceled: Count of memberships canceled at the end of the date filter

  • Expired: Count of memberships expired at the end of the date filter

New Contract Sales

New Contract Sales shows a pie chart of all membership sales within the date filter. The date filter corresponds to the job completion date or, if the membership is sold from the office, the invoice date. Each pie chart segment represents a different membership type.

At-Glance Expired Membership

This section displays a report based on the Customer Memberships report template. The report shows all expired memberships that were sold within the date filter.

Tip: Click a customer name to open their profile in a new browser tab.

Commercial Marketing section

This section includes the Marketing Scorecards module from the Modular Dashboard. Use this module to track marketing campaign performance.

Technician Performance section

This section includes the Technician Scorecards module from the Modular Dashboard. Use this module to track technician metrics based on their BU and division.
