Add and edit proposal types for estimates

Overview

When you present a proposal template to customers, manage the labeling of Good, Better, or Best estimate options based on your preferred proposal types.


Who uses this feature

  • Administrators and managers

  • Applies to all business types

Things to know

  • Prebuilt proposal types are included with ServiceTitan. These proposal types are editable.

  • Proposal types can have one or multiple options.

Add a proposal type

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Pricebook.

  2. In the side panel, click Templates.

  3. In your template library that opens click the Proposal Templates tab and click Proposal Types.

  4. In the Proposal Types pop-up that opens, click Add Proposal Type.

  5. Enter a name for the proposal type in the Proposal Type Name field.

  6. Under Progressive or Additive, select how you want to sell estimates from the proposal template.

  7. Under Options, enter a name for the estimate template label.

  8. Click the color square to select a color for the label.        

    Note: The label name and color are applied when showing estimate options in ServiceTitan Mobile.

  9. Click Add option to create additional options.

  10. Click and drag an option in the list to change the list order.

  11. When finished, click Save

Edit a proposal type

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Pricebook.

  2. In the side panel, click Templates.

  3. In your template library that opens, click the Proposal Templates tab and click Proposal Types.

  4. In the Proposal Types pop-up that opens, click More to edit an existing proposal type.

  5. Select View/Edit DetailsUser interface for managing proposal types with options to view or edit details.

  6. Make the necessary changes and click Save.
