Use Notifications Hub in the ServiceTitan Field Mobile App

Overview

Notifications Hub gives you a single place to monitor and manage all photo, video, and file uploads across jobs. Open the Notifications Hub screen to see every upload's progress, retry failed uploads, or cancel active ones. This helps you spend less time tracking down upload issues and ensures your team gets the media they need.

Things to know

  • The notifications hub shows all uploads on the current job, including job media, equipment, estimates, and forms.

  • Uploads continue in the background when you move away from the Notifications Hub screen to other parts of the app.

  • If you lose internet connection, uploads pause automatically. They resume when your connectivity is restored.

  • Failed uploads show a red progress bar and a prompt to Retry. Tap the item to retry it.

  • You can cancel an active upload by tapping X next to the file. A confirmation prompt appears before the upload is removed.

  • Supported file types include photos, videos, PDFs, and documents such as .jpg, .mp4, .docx, .xlsx, and .pdf.

Best practices

  • Check the notifications hub before leaving a job site to make sure all uploads complete.

  • Stay connected to Wi-Fi or a strong cellular signal when uploading large video files. This reduces the chance of upload failures.

Use cases

  • After completing an HVAC tune-up, a technician uploads before-and-after photos. The notifications hub shows the progress of each file and confirms when they sync to the office.

  • A plumber uploads inspection videos at a remote job site. Weak cell signal causes two files to fail. The technician retries both when a stronger signal is available.

  • An electrician adds equipment photos, form attachments, and estimate documents to a job. The notifications hub groups each upload by its source, making it easy to confirm everything uploaded.

Open the notifications hub in the Field Mobile App

  1. Open the Field Mobile App and tap the Notifications icon at the top. Home screen displaying today's schedule and current job details for a cooling tune up.

  2. In the notifications hub that opens, review the list of uploads. Notification hub displaying uploaded files and their sync status for a job.

Each upload shows a thumbnail, the file name, a progress bar, and a cancel button.

Note: A blue progress bar means the file is uploading. A green bar means the upload is complete. A red bar means the upload failed.

Retry failed uploads in the Field Mobile App

  1. In the Uploads section, find the file with a red progress bar.

  2. Tap the failed upload to retry it.

Cancel an active upload in the Field Mobile App

  1. In the Uploads section, find the upload you want to cancel.

  2. Tap X next to the file name. Notification hub displaying upload status and job media details for team collaboration.

  3. In the confirmation prompt, tap Cancel Upload to confirm.

Caution: Canceling an upload removes the file from the notifications hub and any related entity. For example, if you cancel an upload related to media on an estimate in the notifications hub, the media will be removed from the estimate as well. You need to re-add the media to the job to upload it again.

Prompt asking to stop upload and remove attachment with two action buttons.
