Why does the required form not trigger according to the form settings?

Problem

A required form did not trigger according to the form settings. The form was supposed to pop up for the technician to complete, but it did not. For example, the form was set to trigger upon job closeout, but it was not triggered as expected.

Solution

Follow the steps below to solve the issue.

Check form settings

  1. In ServiceTitan, go to the top toolbar and click Settings A simple icon representing a settings gear. .

  2. In the side panel, click Operations > Forms.

  3. Edit a form.

  4. Ensure the form is set to trigger at the correct job stage, such as closeout. For more, see Use form triggers.

Verify recent changes

Confirm if any changes were made to the form settings recently. If changes were made, it will trigger accordingly on newly booked jobs.

Sync technician's mobile app

  1. Instruct the technician to open the ServiceTitan mobile app.

  2. Ensure they sync the app to update any recent changes. The form should trigger accordingly on newly booked jobs moving forward.

Test the form trigger

  1. Book a test job with a test customer.

  2. Assign it to a technician to verify if the form triggers at the correct stage.

Check if the form is already complete

  1. Check if the technician completed the form for the job. If so, it may not trigger again.

  2. Check the Form Trigger settings to confirm.
