Problem
You cannot directly change the location on an estimate after it's created. If you try to change the service location, the estimate still shows the original location.
Solution
Remember, to double-check the location before creating an estimate to avoid this issue in the future.
To attach the estimate to the right location:
Open the estimate you need to change. Look at the details to make sure it's the one with the wrong location.
Write down or copy all the important information from the estimate. This includes services, prices, and customer notes.
Create a new estimate. Use the information you wrote down or copied from the original estimate.
Make sure to select the correct location this time. Fill in the address and any other necessary details.
Add all the services and prices from the original estimate to the new one. Don't forget any customer notes or special instructions.
Review the new estimate. Make sure all the information matches the original, except for the location.
Save the new estimate. Confirm that it has the correct location and all the details are accurate.
Dismiss the old estimate with the wrong location. This prevents confusion in the future.
Inform the customer about the update. Let them know you fixed the location on their estimate.
