What are the steps to change the name of an agent on Dialpad?

Problem

You need to change an operator's name in Dialpad but are unsure how to do it.

Solution

Only Dialpad Admins can change the profile names of the agents. You can use the Proxy login feature to impersonate an agent in Dialpad and edit their profile information.

Use the Proxy login feature

  1. Go to Dialpad and click Admin Settings > Users.

  2. Click Options > Admin > Proxy login next to the agent's name to impersonate their account. Cursor clicking Proxy login under the Admin settings

  3. In the new Your Profile page that opens, click Edit Personal Information.

  4. Enter the First and Last Name of the employee. Enter the First and Last Name of the employee in Dialpad

  5. When finished, click Save Changes.        

    Note: Changing the name in Dialpad does not change the name in ServiceTitan. They operate independently. If you need to change the name in ServiceTitan, you have to do it there separately.
