Best practices

       
  • When a customer replies to an SMS message, you cannot reply directly. Instead, set up the Autoresponder to send automatic responses. We recommend including your business's preferred contact method in your Autoresponder message.
  •    
  • To effectively track your marketing campaigns, assign a unique tracking phone number to each. You can then route customer calls to the most relevant contact by assigning forwarding numbers to these tracking numbers.

Manage phone number settings

       
  1. Go to the top toolbar and click Settings
  2.    
  3. In the side panel, go to SMS.
  4.    
  5. Click Phone Number Settings.
  6.    
  7. Click Configure for the brand you want to configure phone number settings for.
  8.    
  9. In the Autoresponder section, enable Autoresponder On to automatically respond to customers who reply to your SMS messages.

  11. Enter the text message you'd like to send in response.        
               

    Tip: Include the best way for customers to reach your business. For example, include your business's phone number or website.

  13. In the Phone Number Management section, review the tracking phone numbers configured for your business. These numbers are configured when building your marketing campaigns.        
               

    Tip: Click Filter in the Phone Number column to quickly find a phone number in the list.

  15. To set a call forwarding number, click Edit in the Forward To column for the designed phone number then enter the call forwarding number. This allows you to assign unique tracking numbers to campaigns while still directing calls to the appropriate phone number.

  17. When finished, click Save.
