Overview

After mapping your business units in ServiceTitan to Intacct, the next step is to assign an Intacct Item GL Group to the services, materials, and equipment in your pricebook. This lets you group invoice items based on the GL account you want the transactions to affect.

You can map each pricebook item to an Item GL Groups individually or you can export your pricebook and map items in bulk.

Things to know

  • Before you can map pricebook items to Item GL Groups, create Item GL Groups in Intacct. Then, import GL Accounts, Item GL Groups, and Product Lines from Intacct. Item GL Groups need to also be mapped to Transaction Definitions in Intacct.

  • Intacct Item GL groups are mapped in ServiceTitan to the Intacct GL Group field in the pricebook.

  • For Touchless Integration, you must have a GL account specified in both the Expense and Income fields in the pricebook.

Map a pricebook item to an Item GL Group

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Pricebook.

  2. In the side panel, select Services, Equipment, or Material depending on the item you want to map.

  3. At the end of the item row you want to edit, click Actions and select View/Edit.

  4. In the Details tab, click the Income Account dropdown and select an Item GL Group. The Ledger Impact pop-up appears.

  5. Select All Open Transactions or As of Date from the Change To Effect dropdown. For more information, see Retroactively change items’ GL Accounts.

    • All Open Transactions: Updates all invoices with the Pending status

    • As of Date: Updates all invoices from selected date to present. Updates are made in ServiceTitan only. Transactions that have been exported to Intacct will not be updated.

  6. Click Confirm.

Note: The Intacct integration uses the Intacct GL group specified in this dropdown to map the item to a GL group in Intacct. Additionally, this dropdown is currently not available in reporting. If you need this in reporting, update the General Ledger or Income Account fields.

  8. When you’re done, click Save.
