How do you create an estimate without a job and book it into the same job?

Problem

Users need to create an estimate without a job. They also need to know how to book this estimate into the same job after booking the job to sell the estimate.

Solution

There are a few steps that you need to follow.

Note: If you do not follow these steps to sell the estimate and book it into the same job, you will need to book another job to perform the work described in the estimate.

A. Creating an Estimate without a Job

1. Go to the Call Booking screen.

2. Click Build estimate.        

   Note: Please contact technical support to have access to the Build Estimate feature.

3. Choose the location profile.

4. Start building your estimate. This estimate will not be attached to any job. It will save on the location record.

B. Booking the Job to Sell the Estimate

1. After creating the estimate, book a job for it.

2. Assign a technician to the job you just booked.

C. Sell the Estimate and Book it into the Same Job

1. Have the assigned technician open the job on their mobile device.

2. The technician should sell the estimate from the mobile side.

3. To book the estimate items into the same invoice, the technician must select Perform Work Now.
