Overview
The Credit Card Transaction report provides a detailed list of all credit card transactions made through ServiceTitan Payments. This report pulls data from the credit card gateway to give you the latest charge and refund transactions. All credit card transactions made through your ServiceTitan Payments credit card merchant account are available in this report.
Use this report to view details about credit card transactions, including the transaction ID, authorization code, amount, the card type used, and the entry method of the transaction.

Creating custom reports is available only to contractors on the Works package or Legacy/Non-Packaged contractors. Contractors on the Starter and Essentials packages have access to built-in reports.
Things to know
If you’re unsure which columns you want to include in your report, use the Reporting Dictionary to search for appropriate data fields.
You can use this template to create as many custom reports as you need. Each report created from the template is independent and can be run or scheduled without needing to recreate it from the original template.
Create a Credit Card Transaction report
Follow the steps to create a custom report based on the Credit Card Transaction template.
Note: This report populates the type of credit card as determined by the processor, which can differ from the payment type chosen on the invoice. For example, if the MasterCard payment type is selected when charging a Visa card, this report will populate the Visa card type.
Run the Credit Card Transaction report
Before running your report, set filters to get the most relevant information for your needs:
Use the From-To calendar fields to set a range of dates to run the report on. You can:
Use the calendar to select a specific date range and then click Apply.

Use the left menu to select a preset date range:
Today: From 12:00 AM to the current time.
Yesterday: Previous day, from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM.
This Week: From Monday through Sunday of the current week.
Week to Date: From Monday through the current date of the current week.
Last 7 Days: Previous seven days, including today.
Last 14 Days: Previous 14 days, including today.
Last 30 Days: Previous 30 days, including today.
Month to Date: From the first of the current month to the current day.
Last Month: Entire month before the current month. For example, if the date is February 5, the entire month of January.
Last 90 Days: Previous 90 days, including today.
This Quarter: Current quarter, including future dates. For example, if the date is April 25, from April 1 - June 30.
Last Quarter: Entire quarter before the current quarter. For example, if the date is April 25, from January 1 - March 31.
Quarter to Date: From the first day of the current quarter to the current day.
Year to Date: From January 1 of the current year to the current day.
Last 365 Days: Previous 365 days, including today.
Last Year: From January 1 of the previous year to December 31.
Enter a transaction number to look for a particular transaction.
Tip: To include all transactions for your date range, leave the transaction number field blank.
Click Run Report. The Credit Card Transaction report generates.
Note: This report includes more columns than can be displayed at once. Use the horizontal scroll bar to view all of the columns.
Read report results
Your report results display in a table based on the filters you set. By default, the Credit Card Transaction report includes the following columns:
Transaction Date | Date the transaction was made |

Transaction ID | The transaction ID from the gateway, which may not be the same ID as from the processor Click Transaction ID to view the Transaction History report. |
Status | Latest transaction status |
Auth Code | Authorization code for the transaction

Amount | Amount of the transaction. An amount in parentheses is a negative amount.

Card Holder Name | The cardholder name that was provided when this transaction was submitted |
Customer on File | The ServiceTitan Bill-To customer for the invoice where the corresponding payment was applied. Click the name to open the Customer Details screen for this customer in a new window. If this field is blank, then we aren’t able to match up this transaction with a payment in ServiceTitan. |
Card Number | Last four digits of the card number |
Card Expiration | Card expiration date |
Card Type | The type or brand of the credit card |
Response Text | The processor response message.

Invoice | Invoice IDs for all invoices where this payment was applied Click the Invoice ID to drill down into the Invoice Details report.

Payment Batch Number | The batch number of the batch this payment is a part of. Select a Payment Batch Number to open the Batch Details screen.

At the bottom of the report table are totals of two columns:

Count: Total count of transactions
Amount: Total amount of all credit card transactions for the selected date range
Customize your report
You can add and remove columns related to credit card transactions for more specialized reporting. For further customization, you can also arrange and filter your results to narrow the focus of your report.
Add and remove columns
Above the report results, click Edit Columns.

In Edit Columns, select or deselect the items you want added to or removed from your report.

You can edit the Credit Card Transaction report to show the following fields:

Technician Name | The name of the technician who processed the credit card transaction.

Merchant ID | The TSYS merchant ID that this transaction was processed under |
Card Action | The most recent transaction event |
Description | A description of the transaction as provided when the transaction was submitted If it was submitted from ServiceTitan, then it will have the invoice number where the payment was applied. |
