Problem

You cannot make the default assign technician field required on the call booking screen.

Solution

Create a required Custom Field on the Calls screen

  1. Go to the top toolbar and click Settings A simple icon representing a settings gear. .

  2. Select Operations from the list.

  3. Select Custom Fields.

  4. Create a new custom field. Assign the custom field to the Job Record > Call Screen. Name the custom field to reflect the Technician assignment. For example, "Technician Name:" or "Technician Assigned".

  5. Set the custom field as a required field.

  6. Save your changes.

By following these steps, you create a mandatory field for technician assignment on the call booking screen. This approach ensures that a technician must be assigned for every job booked.
