Add a room phone in DialPad

Overview

Room phones, well-suited for shared spaces, are compatible with different Polycom and SoundStation models through Phones Pro. Before you add a room phone in DialPad, check that your device is listed among the Supported user and room phones.

Things to know

  • Adding a room phone incurs additional costs. Typically the price of a room phone is the same as a standard seat license but may vary depending on the contract. If you have questions about the cost of a license, please contact your Pro-Accounts Manager or Success Manager.

  • If you come across any prompts about charges in the system it means you missed a step in Dialpad setup.

Add a room phone

  1. Go to the top toolbar and click Settings A simple icon representing a settings gear. .

  2. In the side panel, go to Phones Pro > Account Setup.

  3. Under the Set Room Phones section, enter the Room Phone Name and click Add RoomInterface for setting room phone names with an 'Add Room' button highlighted.

Note: You can add a tracking number for the room phone if there is not an existing number in your DialPad Reserve Pool available.

Set up the room phone

After you add the room phone in ServiceTitan, you can assign a number to it and complete the setup.

To assign a number to your room phone:

  1. In DialPad, go to Admin Settings > Office > Desk Phones.

  2. Select the Room Phones tab.

  3. Click Options > Manage Numbers for the new room phone. A new window opens. Desk phone settings with options to manage room phones and user phones.

  4. Click Add a number and pick a number from your Reserve Pool.

  5. Once you are done, click Select.

To set up and provision your room phone:

  1. In DialPad, go to Admin Settings > Office > Desk Phones.

  2. Select the Room Phones tab.

  3. Select Click to set up next to the new room phone. A new window opens. Options to select compatible desk phones for setup, including Polycom and Yealink models.

  4. Select the compatible desk phone to provision it.
