Serialized Inventory

Track specific inventory items using serial numbers as unique identifiers — record and manage individual items sold to customers or purchased from vendors, including items with warranties or high dollar value.

Setup

Serialized Inventory enables you to track specific inventory items using serial numbers as unique identifiers. You can record and track individual items sold to customers or purchased from vendors with a serial number — and identify the location and ownership of items that carry a warranty or high dollar value.

Setup checklist

Required permissions

  • Edit Materials — Activate and deactivate serialization of materials.
  • Edit Equipment — Activate and deactivate serialization of equipment.

Enable Serialized Inventory

Go to Settings → Inventory → Configuration → Inventory tab. In the Enable Serialized Inventory field, select Allow tracking and managing items using serial numbers, then click Save.

(Optional) Enable bulk Pricebook serialization

Select Show bulk select upload option in Pricebook to upload a spreadsheet of items and serialize Pricebook items in bulk.

Included in Core

Serialized Inventory is available to all ServiceTitan customers as part of the Core product. No additional subscription required.

Once setup is complete

Track individual items by serial number, identify location and ownership, manage warranties, and process purchases, transfers, and adjustments — all within ServiceTitan.
