You're on the AR Management screen and you want to export what you see to an Excel file, but there's no option to do it. The screen lets you view, filter, email, and print, but not export to a spreadsheet.
Why this happens
There is 1 common reason.
Reason 1
The AR Management screen isn't built to export directly to Excel.
It's designed for viewing customers with outstanding balances and taking action on them (emailing and printing statements, collecting payment), not for producing a spreadsheet. To get the same balances in Excel, run a report that covers the same data and export that instead.
How to fix it
1Run the AR Transactions By Customer report
Use this if you need the AR balance data in Excel. This report gives you similar information and can be exported to a spreadsheet.
Go to the navigation bar and click Reports.
In the side menu, click All Reports, then click AR Transactions By Customer.
Set your filters and click Run Report.
Export the report to Excel. For the exact steps, see Export a report.
✓ Done · You now have the AR balance data in an Excel file.
Note: The AR Transactions By Customer report covers similar information to the AR Management screen, but the columns and layout aren't identical, so it may not reproduce the AR Management view field-for-field.
