Turn on Block fake addresses to cut down fake jobs

Prev Next

This is a new feature that lets you stop bots and bad actors from booking jobs with invalid addresses, so your team spends more time on real work.

What's new?

Before, anyone using your online scheduling form could enter a invalid or junk address and still book a job. Your CSRs had to sort these out later, cancel them, and clean up the schedule. Now, you can turn on Block fake addresses in your WorkConnect scheduler settings so online bookings must use a real address before a job gets on your board. This keeps spam jobs out of your calendar and protects your team's time.

Resources

Before and After

Before (Current)

  1. A bot or a spam lead books through your online scheduler with a fake or incomplete address.

  2. The job lands on the schedule like a normal job.

  3. A CSR calls the phone number or checks the map and realizes the address is not real or not in your area.

  4. The CSR cancels the job and adjusts the calendar.

  5. Reports and job counts include junk jobs unless someone cleans them up.

Impact: Your team wastes time chasing fake leads, cleaning up the board, and sorting out bad data in reports.

After

  1. A bot or spam lead tries to book with a fake, incomplete, or clearly wrong address but is unable to complete the booking

  2. The online scheduler gives a warning message about the invalid address instead of creating a job.

  3. The scheduler suggests valid address options as only jobs with valid addresses make it onto the schedule.

  4. Reports and job counts better reflect real work.

Impact: You see fewer junk jobs on the board, protect CSR time, and keep schedule and reporting cleaner.

Who uses this feature

  • Residential Service and Replacement

  • Administrators, CSRs, Dispatchers

  • Region availability: All regions

How it works for your industry

Residential Service and Replacement

  • Reduce spam bookings from bots that use fake street names for tune-ups or repair calls.

  • Keep the board clear so CSRs can focus on real calls from homeowners who actually live in your service area.

  • Improve route planning by making sure addresses on the schedule match real locations.

How to Prepare?

  1. Have an administrator turn on the new Block bookings if address is invalid setting under Scheduler Details.

  2. Decide what you consider a "fake" or unacceptable address and make sure it matches how you set your service area and coverage rules in ServiceTitan.

  3. Let CSRs and dispatchers know that some online bookings will now be blocked at the address step, and that the board should show fewer junk jobs.

  4. After turning it on, monitor your schedule for a few days to see if fake jobs drop and to catch any edge cases, such as new neighborhoods or special locations you want to allow.

  5. Update any internal call or lead handling playbooks so the team knows how to treat online leads now that more fake addresses are filtered out before they reach them.
