This improvement to the Daily Dispatch Board lets dispatchers save their most-used filter combinations as named views and reapply them in one click, so they spend less time configuring filters and more time dispatching.
What's changing?
Before this improvement, dispatchers had to manually re-select their preferred business units, skills, and teams every time they opened the dispatch board or switched between operational views. There was no way to save a filter combination for later use. Now, dispatchers can save their current filter selections as a named view, apply any saved view with a single click, and manage all their views from a dedicated View Manager. The dispatch board also automatically detects when the current filter state matches a saved view and highlights it in the dropdown.

How it works for your industry
Residential Service and Replacement
A dispatcher at a plumbing and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) company creates a saved view called HVAC Only with the HVAC business unit selected. Each morning, she clicks the view name to load the HVAC board instantly instead of selecting the business unit manually.
A residential electrical company dispatcher saves separate views for Emergency Calls and Scheduled Maintenance based on job type filters. Switching between the two throughout the day takes one click instead of several filter changes.
A growing multi-trade shop with five business units creates a Full Board view with all units selected and an Apprentice Team view filtered to a specific skill. The dispatcher drags the most-used view to the top of the list for faster access.
Commercial Service and Replacement
A commercial HVAC dispatcher managing three regional business units saves a view for each region. When checking on the East region mid-day, she selects East Region from the Saved Views dropdown and the board updates immediately.
A facilities maintenance company dispatcher creates a Priority Techs view filtered to senior-level skills. After the morning standup, she applies the view to confirm all high-priority jobs are assigned to qualified technicians.
A multi-location commercial plumbing operation saves views by office location. The dispatch manager cycles through each location view during shift handoffs to confirm coverage.
Residential Construction
A home remodeling company dispatcher creates a New Builds view filtered to the new construction business unit and a Punch List view for warranty callback teams. Switching between the two during the day takes one click.
A residential roofing and siding contractor saves a view called Install Crews filtered by skill to see only certified installers. After morning assignments, the dispatcher switches to a Service Calls view to handle same-day repair requests.
A custom home builder dispatcher managing multiple project sites saves a view for each active project's business unit. During progress check-ins, she selects the project view to see only the technicians and jobs assigned to that site.
Commercial Construction
A commercial general contractor dispatcher saves views by trade, such as Electrical and Mechanical, to monitor subcontractor crews assigned to a large job site. Switching between trades during daily coordination takes one click.
A tenant improvement company dispatcher creates a Downtown Campus view filtered to the downtown business unit and a Suburban Sites view for outlying locations. The dispatcher toggles between views throughout the day as priorities shift.
A commercial mechanical contractor with multiple shift teams saves a Day Shift and Night Shift view filtered by team. During shift handoffs, the incoming dispatcher applies their team view to immediately see only relevant assignments.
How to prepare
If you’re not already part of the Daily Dispatch Board Early Access, go to Settings > Dispatch Board > New & Upcoming Features and enable the Redesigned Dispatch Board toggle.
Identify the dispatchers on your team who manage the most complex filter combinations, such as those working across multiple business units or skill-based teams. These dispatchers will benefit the most from saved views.
Train dispatchers on how to save, apply, and manage views from the filter panel.
Encourage each dispatcher to create two to three saved views that match their most common daily workflows, such as views by business unit, team, or skill group.
