Three improvements to the new Daily and Weekly Dispatch Board close workflow gaps that kept dispatchers on the Classic Dispatch Board: full technician detail on the Weekly board, a clearer clock-in and clock-out confirmation, and one-select status actions on the job bubble.

What's changing
Before these improvements, planning a week on the new Weekly Dispatch Board meant switching to the Daily board to check a technician's skills and availability, the clock-in and clock-out modal gave no confirmation of which technician was selected, and arriving a technician or marking work done meant opening the full Job Details flyout. Now the Weekly board carries the same technician hover and shortcut windows as the Daily board, the clock-in and clock-out modal names the technician whose times are being edited, and Arrive technician and Mark as done are available directly from the job bubble context menu.

3.Return to the Weekly board and place the job.
3.Select a technician's profile picture to open the clock-in and clock-out modal, which now names the technician whose times are being edited.
4.Select a technician's profile picture to open the clock-in and clock-out modal, with no on-screen confirmation of which technician is selected.

5.To arrive a technician or mark work done, open the job bubble, then open the Job Details flyout, then select the action.
⚠ Weekly planning requires switching boards to answer basic technician questions, clock time edits can be applied to the wrong technician without warning, and routine status changes take several selections through a flyout.
✓ Weekly planning happens on the Weekly board without switching views, clock time edits are confirmed against a named technician before saving, and routine status changes take one pass through the job bubble instead of a trip through the Job Details flyout.
A dispatcher building next week's maintenance route hovers a technician's name on the Weekly board and sees their skills and current job count without leaving weekly planning.
A dispatcher correcting a technician's morning clock-in sees the technician's name in the modal and catches that the wrong profile picture was selected before saving.
A dispatcher watching a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) technician pull up to a house right-selects the job bubble and chooses Arrive technician without opening the Job Details flyout.
Commercial Service and Replacement
A dispatcher planning a week of preventive maintenance (PM) visits across several buildings checks technician availability from the Weekly board while placing each visit.
A dispatcher editing clock times for a crew of four confirms each technician by name in the modal before adjusting their hours.
A dispatcher closing out a multi-technician service call marks individual technicians done from the job bubble as each finishes their portion.
Residential Construction
A dispatcher scheduling a week of rough-in work hovers technician names on the Weekly board to confirm skills before assigning trades to each stage.
A dispatcher fixing a missed clock-out for a framing crew member sees the technician named in the modal and edits the correct record.
A dispatcher tracking a crew arriving at a build site arrives each technician from the job bubble as they check in.
Commercial Construction
A dispatcher laying out a week of work across several active projects reviews technician availability from the Weekly board without switching to the daily view.
A dispatcher reconciling timesheets for a large crew confirms the technician's name in the clock-in and clock-out modal before making edits.
A dispatcher managing phased work marks technicians done from the job bubble as each phase closes, leaving the appointment open for the remaining crew.
How to prepare
01
Have an administrator confirm the new Dispatch Board is turned on for your company. In the top toolbar, go to Settings > Dispatch Board > New and Upcoming Features and turn on the Redesigned Dispatch Board toggle.
02
Confirm which of your office employees hold the Arrive Technician permission. This is an existing permission, not a new one. It controls whether someone can arrive a dispatched technician, and it now also controls whether Arrive technician appears in the job bubble context menu.
03
Identify the dispatchers on your team who plan on the Weekly Dispatch Board, and walk them through the technician hover and shortcut windows now available there.
04
Align your team on when to use Mark as done for a single technician against marking the whole appointment done. A technician must be arrived before they can be marked done, and the last working technician on an appointment cannot be marked done individually.
