Manage opportunity follow-ups with an enhanced interface

This improvement makes it easier to manage opportunity follow-ups from the Field Mobile App, without needing to call the office for assistance.

What's changing with the follow-up opportunity enhancements?

Before, technicians using the Opportunities tab in the Field Mobile App couldn't edit estimates natively or view job details without help from the office. Now, technicians can deep-link to job details and edit estimates directly in the app. They also gain access to an audit trail, giving more context around activity history. This improvement supports better opportunity management in the field and faster follow-up conversions.

Before (Current)

  1. Tap Account > Opportunities in the Field Mobile App.

  2. Tap an opportunity to view its details.

  3. To edit estimates or review job details, contact the office.

  4. Estimate edits must be made by the office in the desktop version of ServiceTitan.

Impact: Delayed follow-ups and lost estimate conversion due to workflow gaps.

After

  1. Tap Account > Opportunities In the Field Mobile App.

  2. Tap an opportunity to view its details.

  3. Review job details right from the opportunity. Tap an estimate in an opportunity to go to the Estimates tab, where you can select an estimate, and adjust items, pricing, and status.

Impact: Faster, field-based estimate management improves coordination and conversion.

Test changes in the Field Mobile App: Tap Menu   > Switch Environment  or tap Switch to a different environment on the sign in screen if you're not signed in.

How it works for your industry

Residential Service and Replacement

  • A technician reviews a past unsold estimate for a water heater through the Opportunities screen. They adjust pricing and resend the estimate during a scheduled follow-up.

  • During a callback visit, the technician views the details of the opportunity and marks the estimate as sold.

Residential Construction

  • A technician working a construction project taps Menu > Opportunities, reviews an old estimate for insulation add-ons, and revises it based on updated pricing.

  • While reviewing open opportunities, the technician opens the job record right from the opportunity to confirm work done before updating line items.

How to Prepare

  1. Have an administrator make sure the Access follow ups, Edit Estimates in Follow Up, and Allow editing sold estimates permissions are enabled.

  2. Show technicians how to set reminders and view job details in Opportunities.

  3. Decide when and how estimates should be edited in the field.

  4. Review mobile estimate edits to track conversion and performance.

  5. Keep a reference for using Opportunities tools during ride-alongs or coaching.
