Create CRM opportunities automatically when you book a site visit
This new feature connects your field sales activity to ServiceTitan CRM by creating and linking an opportunity the moment a site visit is booked, so one deal produces one opportunity instead of two unconnected records.

What's new
Before this release, a site visit lived in field service management with only a partial connection to your ServiceTitan CRM pipeline. An estimate added to a site visit did create an opportunity, but that opportunity landed straight in the proposal-pending stage, skipping the new and qualified stages, so nobody could measure the time between opening a deal and sending the quote. If a sales representative had already created an opportunity for the same work, the result was two separate records with no link between them, and attachments stayed stranded on the job. Now an administrator can configure a Site Visits play in the Settings screen, map your sales job types to it, and have ServiceTitan create a linked opportunity in the New stage as soon as a mapped job type is booked. Estimates written on that site visit roll up to the opportunity's quoted and sold values, attachments are viewable from the opportunity drawer, and a site visit booked from an estimate that already has an opportunity joins that opportunity rather than creating a second one.

1.Open ServiceTitan CRM and create an opportunity for the replacement you are pursuing.
1.Have an administrator open the Settings screen, select Plays, and find the Site Visits play.
2.Book a separate site visit job so the visit appears on the Dispatch Board.
2.Map one or more of your sales job types to the play, then turn the play on.
3.Have your estimator add an estimate on that site visit job.
3.Book a job using one of the mapped job types. ServiceTitan creates a linked opportunity in the New stage and carries over the Customer, Location, job type, business unit, marketing campaign, start date, estimated start and end time, summary, and tags from the job.
4.Review your pipeline and find a second opportunity, created from the estimate and sitting in the proposal-pending stage.
4.Have your estimator add estimates on the site visit. The quoted value on the opportunity updates as estimates are created, and the sold value updates as they are sold.
5.Reconcile the two records by hand, and open the job separately to find the photos and documents from the visit.
5.Open the opportunity drawer and review the linked site visit and its attachments in the Site Visit section.
⚠ Your pipeline overcounts deals, your forecast cannot be trusted, and the detail gathered on site stays separated from the deal it belongs to.
✓ One deal produces one opportunity from the moment the visit is booked, your pipeline stages reflect the real sequence of the sale, and the office and the field work from the same record.
How it works for your industry
Commercial Service and Replacement
A heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) account manager books a rooftop unit (RTU) survey at a retail center. The opportunity is already in the pipeline when the estimator sits down to scope the replacement that afternoon.
A commercial plumbing sales representative walks a backflow assembly replacement, adds two estimate options on the site visit, and watches both roll up to the quoted value on the same opportunity.
A service manager reviews the pipeline at the end of the week and sees every site visit the team ran, each in the stage it actually reached, rather than a list of deals that appeared only after a quote was sent.
Commercial Construction
A project developer books a site walk for a mechanical fit-out. The opportunity is created in the New stage with the Customer, Location, and estimated dates already filled in from the job.
A commercial electrical estimator uploads panel schedules and site photos to the site visit, and the project executive reviews them from the opportunity drawer without opening the job.
A general contractor relationship owner books a walk for a deal already in the pipeline, and the site visit links to the existing opportunity instead of creating a duplicate.
How to prepare
01
ServiceTitan CRM is currently in Private Preview and not available for all accounts.
02
Have an administrator reach out to Support or your Customer Success Manager (CSM) to have ServiceTitan CRM and any prerequisite configurations enabled.
03
Identify which of your job types represent sales visits, site walks, inspections, or estimates, then have an administrator map those job types to the Site Visits play in the Settings screen and turn the play on. The play is off with no job types mapped until someone configures it, so nothing changes in your account until you take this step.
04
Align your office and field teams on the new sequence, so a site visit is booked using a mapped job type rather than an opportunity being created by hand alongside it. Existing site visit jobs are not linked to opportunities retroactively.
