This improvement lets you use the saved Work Summary when you generate Titan Intelligence (TI) Invoice Summaries, so the narrative better matches the work done on the job.
What's changing?
Before, technicians could not pass Work Summary text into the Invoice Summary flow, so Titan Intelligence (TI) relied only on job details, forms, and other data. Now, the Invoice Summary generation screen includes Work Summary under Include Additional Data. When you select this option, ServiceTitan sends the most recently saved Work Summary from the appointment into Titan Intelligence during Invoice Summary generation. You choose when to include Work Summary on each invoice, so your team keeps control over how much detail appears in the client-facing summary.
Resources
Before and After
Before (Current)
In the Field Mobile App, open your job for a commercial service visit.
Add notes about the work in the Work Summary or other note fields.
Go to the job invoice and generate an Invoice Summary with no link to the saved Work Summary.
Edit the Invoice Summary text by hand if you want it to match what was written in the Work Summary before you send it to the client.
Impact: Context from the Work Summary can be lost or must be retyped, which can lead to inconsistent invoice narratives and extra editing time for your team.
After
In the Field Mobile App, open your job for a commercial service visit.
Enter and save a clear Work Summary that explains what your team repaired or replaced.
Go to the job invoice and open the Invoice Summary generation screen.
Under Include Additional Data, select Work Summary, then generate the Invoice Summary with Titan Intelligence (TI).
Review the draft Invoice Summary that now reflects the saved Work Summary before sending it to the client.
Impact: Invoice Summaries can now pull language from the Work Summary, so narratives line up with the work completed and need less manual rewriting.

How it works for your industry
Commercial Service and Replacement
A technician completes time and materials work on a HVAC rooftop unit at an office park. They save a detailed Work Summary that explains diagnostics, parts used, and recommendations. They then generate a Titan Intelligence (TI) Invoice Summary with Work Summary selected as additional data, so the narrative mirrors those notes and the property manager understands the value of the repair.
A technician handles an emergency call for a restaurant walk-in cooler. They add a clear Work Summary that outlines the cause of failure and needed follow-up visits. When the office reviews the Titan Intelligence (TI) Invoice Summary created with Work Summary selected under Include Additional Data, they can send the invoice to the client with fewer edits and keep the service history consistent.
Your team manages a planned replacement of several aging rooftop units under a national service agreement. Technicians log Work Summaries on each visit, and your billing team selects Work Summary as additional data when generating Invoice Summaries. This keeps narratives aligned across sites, so Managers can audit commercial work across locations using consistent invoice language.
How to Prepare
Contact your CSM to enable the Appointment Summaries feature if it isn't already enabled.
Confirm that technicians know where to find the Work Summary field in the Field Mobile App and when to save it before generating invoices.
Go to Settings [insert image] > Invoicing > Generative Content Rules and make sure generative content rules configured for Invoice Summary Generation are set up.
Confirm that Administrators, Accountants, Bookkeepers, and Managers agree on when Work Summary should be included in Invoice Summaries for commercial service work.
Train technicians to save Work Summary text before invoicing and to alert the office when important context should appear in the client-facing Invoice Summary.
Identify a sample of recent commercial service jobs and compare older Invoice Summaries to new ones that use Work Summary as additional data, then adjust your internal billing guidelines as needed.
