Add Measurement Reporting KPIs in Location + Estimates datasets to surface measurement counts and sources in reports

Prev Next

This improvement adds measurement key performance indicators (Key Performance Indicator (KPI)) to the Location and Estimates datasets so you can report on measurement usage and source.

Creating a report with selected columns for measurement basics in a software interface.

What's changing?

Measurement fields like Measurement Name, Status, Requested by, Created Date, and Measurement Source appear in the Location and Estimates datasets. Before, these measurement KPIs were not available in reporting and teams had to rely on Jobs. Now, you can add these fields directly when building reports in ServiceTitan. This makes it faster to count measurement reports and see which estimates used measurement data.

Resources

Before and After

Before (Current)

  1. Open Reports builder.

  2. Select Location or Estimates dataset.

  3. Measurement KPI fields are not available in the dataset.

  4. Join additional tables or open Jobs to find measurement details.

Impact: You cannot run a single report to see measurement counts or sources across locations.

After

  1. Open Reports builder.

  2. Select Location or Estimates dataset.

  3. Add measurement KPI fields (Measurement Name, Status, Requested by, Created Date, Measurement Source).

  4. Run or export a report that shows measurement counts and which estimates used measurements.

Impact: You can report on measurement volume and source directly from Location and Estimates datasets.

Who uses this feature

  • Roofing

  • Administrators, Managers, Accountants/Bookkeepers, Customer Service Representatives (CSRs)

  • Region availability: All regions.

How it works for your industry

Roofing

  • A Manager runs a Location-level report that shows how many measurement reports exist per home. The report uses the Measurement Source field to separate contractor-provided reports from third-party reports.

  • An Accountant runs an Estimates report to identify which estimates were generated using measurement data. The report includes Created Date to track recent measurement activity.

  • A CSR verifies how many measurement reports are tied to a specific Location while preparing a quote. The CSR adds Measurement Name and Status to a saved report to filter ready vs. in-progress measurements.

How to Prepare?

  1. Have an administrator reach out to Support or your CSM to have the Measurement Integrations feature Roofing trade enabled for your account.

  2. Identify key KPI columns to add to saved reports and templates.

  3. Train Administrators, Managers, Accountants/Bookkeepers, and CSRs to add the new measurement fields in Reports.

  4. Align your reporting cadence to include measurement KPIs when tracking estimating or sales activity.

  5. Check report permissions to ensure teams can view and add the new fields.
