Problem
Sometimes, member discount pricing does not work with certain categories. For example, an item under a pricebook category might not receive the expected discount.
Solution
Check the discount settings for the membership type in question. You can then add a missing category to your membership type's discount settings or change the category for the items not receiving the discount.
Check the discount settings for a membership type
Go to Settings
> Invoicing > Membership Types.Click Edit for the membership type you want to check the discount settings for.
Click Basics > Discount.
Review the current discount setup. Three types of discounts can be applied to membership types:
All Services: The discount applies to all service task items added to the invoice.
Business Units: The discount applies to invoices if the invoice BU belongs to one of the selected BUs.
Categories: The discount applies to items that belong to one of the selected categories.

Add a missing category for a Membership Type
Go to Settings
> Invoicing > Membership Types.Click Edit for the membership type you want to check the discount settings for.
Click Basics > Discount.
Add the missing category to the discount settings.
Save your changes to the Membership Type.
Go to the invoice in question.
Remove the items that did not receive the discount.
Add the items back to the invoice.
Check the invoice to make sure the discount is now applied.
By following these steps, the membership discount should apply to the invoice.
Fix the category for items
Go to the Inventory or Services section where your items are listed.
Find the items that are not discounting correctly.
Check if the items are in a category set to receive the discount.
If the items are not in the correct category, move them to the right category.
Create a new estimate or use an existing one to test the discount.
Add the items you're testing to the estimate.
Apply the membership discount to see if it now works correctly.
By following these steps, the membership discount should now apply to these items.
