Why can't I remove a document from an estimate?

Problem

You cannot delete a document, such as a photo, from an estimate. The system does not respond after confirming the deletion.

Solution

When you add an item to an estimate, any documents linked to that item in the Pricebook are automatically included. These attachments cannot be deleted directly from the estimate. Only attachments manually added to the estimate can be deleted.

Tip: Pricebook attachments are not automatically included when emailing the estimate unless you manually attach them when sending.

Edit the Pricebook item to remove the document

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Pricebook.

  2. Find the item associated with the document.

  3. Click Actions and select the View/Edit option.

  4. In the Images/Videos and Assets field, remove the document. imagesvideos and assets

  5. When finished, click Save.

Tip: To check if an attachment came from a Pricebook item, look at the source field. If it says SKU, the file was pulled directly from the Pricebook.
