What is the correct way to change the date of a recurring service event in ServiceTitan?

Problem

When you try to change the date of a recurring service event, the dates do not update.

Solution

By following these steps, you should be able to successfully change the dates of recurring service events in ServiceTitan, even if some events have an Unreachable status.

Note: It is not recommended to change the From/Start date of a Recurring Service if the status of any Recurring Service Event has been updated, as this could lead to events being missed or additional visits being created. Instead, it is better to adjust the date of the specific recurring service event.

Log a follow up

To update the date of the recurring service event, you can go ahead and log a follow-up for the event, and this updates the date of the event.

  1. From the recurring service event, click Log a follow-up.          Log a follow-up

  2. Enter follow-up details in the Notes field or click the Log Templates dropdown and select a prewritten message.          click the Log Templates dropdown

  3. Change Recurring Service Event Date: Click to select a new recurring service event date. The new date is reflected in the Recurring Service Events screen of Follow Ups.

  4. When you're done logging the follow-up, click Save.
