Web Connector Opening Second Company File

Problem

After upgrading to Quickbooks 2024 Enterprise from Quickbooks Enterprise 2023, and re-adding the Web Connector certificate, the Web Connector wants to open a second company file instead of using the current open file of Quickbooks. Even after uninstalling and reinstalling the Web Connector, the issue persists. When attempting to add a certificate, the Web Connector still wants to open a second company file.

Solution

  1. Follow the steps outlined here to uninstall and reinstall the ST Web Connector.

  2. Add the certificate to Quickbooks.

  3. Make sure QuickBooks is selected to run in Admin mode.

  4. Export a batch to test if the issue is resolved.
