Unable to mark a material as No Charge

Problem

The customer is being charged for items that are not considered chargeable materials and the Charge For Material? option isn't present. The material is on an invoice with an inactive rate sheet.

Solution

If there are inactive rate sheets on the invoices, unassign them to avoid future instances of incorrect charges.

1. To unassign a rate sheet, find the invoice numbers with the inactive rate sheet on them.

2. Click Update invoice details.

3. Click the Rate Sheet dropdown and select an active rate sheet.

4. Save your changes.

5. Find the invoice(s) with the incorrect charge and edit the material(s).

6. Make sure the Charge For Material? box is unchecked and save your changes.
