Overview
Simple Clock I/O brings the familiar Legacy Timekeeping quick clock-in/clock-out experience to Flexible Timekeeping (FTK). Use it for technicians who don't need Continuous Timekeeping's detailed, per-activity job costing and just need a simple day-total record.

You can set Simple Clock I/O by technician, Permission Role, or account-wide, from the Timekeeping Configuration settings.
Things to know
Technicians are automatically clocked in based on their dispatch to, or arrival at their first paid activity.
You can manually clock technicians in and out from the Dispatch Board, or technicians can clock themselves in and out from the ServiceTitan Field Mobile App.
Simple, Continuous, and Manual Timekeeping are set per technician, so you can mix modes across your team.
Turn on Simple Clock I/O
Turn on Simple Clock I/O for a technician
Go to the top toolbar and click Settings.
In the side panel, go to People > Technicians.
Find the technician and click Edit.
Go to the Payroll tab.
Under Timekeeping Configuration, select Simple.
When you're finished, click Save.
Turn on Simple Clock I/O for your whole account
Go to the top toolbar and click Settings.
In the side panel, go to People > Payroll.
Click Timekeeping Settings.
Click Edit and select Connect All to Simple Clock In/Out.
When you're finished, click Save.
Turn on Simple Clock I/O for a technician permission role
Go to the top toolbar and click Settings.
In the side panel, go to People > Payroll.
Click Timekeeping Settings.
Click Edit and select Custom Configuration Per Role as a Timekeeping Configuration.
Set up the setting for each of the technician roles.
When you're finished, click Save.
FAQ
Do I have to move my whole shop to Simple Clock I/O to use it?
No — Simple, Continuous, and Manual Timekeeping are set per technician, so you can mix modes across your team, set it based on permission role or as an account-wide default, and override it for individual technicians.
How does Simple Clock I/O interact with my Idle Time settings?
With Simple Clock I/O enabled, payment of Idle Time is determined based on your Idle Time settings. See Manage technician idle time in Flexible Timekeeping.
