Technicians cannot collect credit card payments when choosing a card as a payment type

Problem

Technicians experience issues when they try to collect payments on the mobile app. They can choose the payment type, but when they select a card, no option appears to enter the card information. Attempting to charge the card may lock up the iPad and cause further issues.

Solution

  1. Delete the ServiceTitan app on the mobile device.        

    1. Find the ServiceTitan app icon on your phone or tablet.

    2. Press and hold the app icon until a menu appears or the icons start to jiggle.

    3. Tap Delete App or the X icon. Confirm if prompted.

  2. Reinstall the ServiceTitan app.        

    1. Go to the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

    2. Search for ServiceTitan.

    3. Find the app in the search results and tap Install.

  3. Update your mobile device.        

    1. For iOS devices, go to Settings > General > Software Update. If an update is available, tap Download and Install.

    2. For Android devices, go to Settings > System > System Update. If an update is available, follow the prompts to install it.

  4. Check for app updates.        

    1. Open the App Store or Google Play Store.

    2. Go to Updates or My apps & games.

    3. If an update for ServiceTitan is available, tap Update.

  5. Try collecting a payment again.

  6. If the issue persists, contact Technical Support.
