Benefits of these reports
Businesses, from commercial service to construction, need efficient solutions to common questions such as:
How many customers are on a specific rate sheet?
How many of my customers are not on a rate sheet?
How can we audit how our rate sheets are assigned?
The answer to questions such as these can be found in Reporting. The Rate Sheet Assignment and Rate Sheet Information reporting templates report on the assignment and contents of your rate sheets. In these templates you can include rate sheets by name or ID, customers by name or ID, as well as the rules information associated with your rate sheets.
These datasets make it more efficient to report on rate sheet assignments at scale by creating the efficiency to provide essential information as quickly as possible.
Things to know
A customer’s rate sheet will be displayed one unique time if their rate sheet assignment has been updated within the date range. This way you can always know the current rate sheet assignment on the customer record.
These datasets are designed for and function alongside client-specific pricing. With client-specific pricing, you can use rate sheets to set unique prices for customers without having to duplicate pricebook items. It is often used in commercial service and repair when dealing with high-volume customers who use specialized pricing. For more information, visit Set up unique prices with client-specific pricing.
Create a Rate Sheet Assignment report
Follow the steps to create a custom report based on the Rate Sheet Information template and select the columns to include in your report.
The Rate Sheet Information template has the following columns selected by default:
ID: The ID of the customer or invoice, depending on the Assignee Type
Assignee Type: Where the rate sheet is applied, Customer or Invoice
Customer Name: Name of the Customer Record
Rate Sheet Name: Name of the assigned Rate Sheet
Rate Sheet ID: The ID of the Rate Sheet
Run a Rate Sheet Assignment report
Before running your report, set date filters in the From & To sections. The From & To dates will isolate rate sheets assigned within the selected timeframe. When you're done, click Run Report.

Tip: Consider grouping the data by Rate Sheet Name when running the report for visual and operational efficiency. See Filter and arrange a report for more information.
Note: Rate Sheets may be applied to Customers, Estimates, and Invoices. In the context of this dataset however, you will only see Customer and Invoice assignee types. Consider filtering the Assignee Type KPI if you are aiming to report on a specific rate sheet assignment.
Understand Report Results
There may be results where the data appears to look incorrect as the cells display no information such as the screenshot below.

This expected result is informing us that the Rate sheet was initially applied to an estimate which was booked into an installation invoice.
Tip: The ID column provides the identifier of the associated assignee type. To locate the record, copy the ID to your clipboard and navigate to a page of the same type. Then, paste the ID at the end of the URL and hit enter. The page should update automatically to that ID.

Run a Rate Sheet Information report
Before running your report, set date filters in the From & To sections. The From & To dates will isolate rate sheets created within the selected timeframe. When you're done, click Run Report.

Tip: Set the date filter from 01/01/1990 to today’s date to capture all Rate Sheets created in your account.
Note: The data that pulls into the Rules Data KPI comes directly from the Rate Sheet information backend. As such, it may look unclear. For added visibility into the individual rules within a given Rate Sheet, consider navigating to Pricebook > Pricing Builder and edit the Rate sheet in question.
