Push and Pull dashboards between Enterprise Hub and Single Tenants

Overview

Use Push and Pull dashboards to pull dashboards from single tenants into Enterprise Hub and push dashboards from Enterprise Hub to your single tenants. This prevents you from manually recreating the dashboard where you need it.


Who uses this feature

  • Administrators, office employees, managers, accountants, bookkeepers and customer service representatives (CSRs)

  • Applies to all business types

Feature configuration

  • The following permissions are required to use this feature. Please contact the account administrator on your team.

    • Allow Pull & Push Dashboards: Allows the user to see the Push/Pull history and perform push and pull operations for dashboards in this network.

    • View Pull & Push Dashboards History: Allows the user to see the Push/Pull history for dashboards in this network.

Things to know

  • Pulling dashboards from single tenants takes approximately one hour for the dashboards to appear in Enterprise Hub. 

  • Pushing dashboards from Enterprise Hub takes approximately one hour for the dashboards to appear in single tenants.

  • At this time, you can't push or pull multi-template reports between Enterprise Hub and single tenants.

Use cases

  • You are a large business with multiple single tenants and are migrating to Enterprise Hub to manage all tenants within a centralized location. Pulling dashboards from the individual single tenants eliminates the need to manually recreate these dashboards. 

  • You are a business already on Enterprise Hub and have manually created your dashboards in Enterprise Hub. Pushing these dashboards to single tenants maintains consistency both at the network level and across all tenants within it.

Push dashboards from Enterprise Hub to single tenants

  1. In Enterprise Hub, click Rollup Dashboards

  2. On the Rollup Dashboards screen that opens, click Push and Pull Dashboards .

  3. From the dropdown, select Push Dashboards.

  4. In the Select Dashboards to Push screen that opens, select the dashboards you want to push to single tenants, then click Next

  5. Select the tenant you want to push dashboards to. You can select individual or multiple tenants or click All to select all tenants. 

  6. When finished, click Push.

The Select Tenants screen closes, and you’re returned to the Pushed History screen. A notification lets you know the dashboards will be available in the selected single tenants within one hour.

When dashboards are pushed into single tenants from Enterprise Hub, the dashboards are synced and will automatically update with the changes from the Enterprise Hub dashboard. 

The Pushed History screen displays the following:

  • The dashboards that have been pushed. If multiple dashboards were pushed, click on a dashboard in the row to see the full list of dashboards. 

  • The tenants the dashboards have been pushed to. If dashboards were pushed to multiple tenants, click on a tenant in the row to see the full list of tenants. 

  • The user who initiated the push operation.

  • The date and time the dashboard was pushed.

Delete pushed dashboards

If you need to remove a pushed dashboard from single tenants, you can delete it on the Pushed History screen. 

  1. From the Pushed and Pulled History screen, click the Pushed tab. 

  2. Locate the dashboard you need to remove, and then click Delete.

  3. On the confirmation screen, confirm you want to remove the pulled dashboard and click Delete.

The Pushed History screen refreshes, and you’ll receive a confirmation message informing you that the dashboard has been successfully removed.

Pull dashboards into Enterprise Hub from single tenants

  1. In Enterprise Hub, click Rollup Dashboards.

  2. On the Rollup Dashboards screen that opens, click Push and Pull Dashboards.

  3. From the dropdown, select Pull Dashboards.

  4. In the Select Tenant screen that opens, select the single tenant you want to pull dashboards from, then click Next.

  5. Select the dashboards you want to pull into Enterprise Hub.

  6. When finished, click Pull.

The Select dashboards to Pull screen closes, and you’re returned to the Pulled History screen. A notification lets you know the dashboards will be available in Enterprise Hub within one hour.

When dashboards are pulled into Enterprise Hub from single tenants, the dashboards are copied from the single tenant. They are not synced and won’t update with changes from the single tenant dashboard. 

The Pulled History screen displays the following:

  • The tenant the dashboards have been pulled from. 

  • The dashboards that have been pulled. If multiple dashboards were pushed, click on a dashboard in the row to see the full list of dashboards. 

  • The user who initiated the pull operation.

  • The date and time the dashboards were pulled.

Delete pulled dashboards

If you need to remove a pulled dashboard from Enterprise Hub, you can delete it on the Pulled History screen. 

  1. From the Pushed and Pulled History screen, click the Pulled tab. 

  2. Locate the dashboard you need to remove, and then click Delete .
