What is the process for locating a purchase order using only a part number?

Introduction

To find a PO using a part number, run the Purchase Order Line Item Transaction Date Updates report. Filter by your part number to get the transaction number. Then, search for the PO using the transaction number in the Purchase Order search field.

Problem

You need to find a PO using only a part number. You can do this using the Purchase Order Line Item Transaction Date Updates report.

You can use the Purchase Order Line Item Transaction Date Update report to find the transaction number associated with your part number. You can then use the transaction number to find the PO.

Note: Permission is required to view the Purchase Order Line Item Transaction Date Update report. If you do not have this report, reach out to your administrator to grant you access or run the report for you.

Workflow to resolution

  1. In the navigation bar, go to Reports.

  2. Find and select the Purchase Order Line Item Transaction Date Updates report.

  3. Select Purchase Order in the Transaction Type dropdown and any other filters you want to apply. 

  4. When ready, click Run Report.

  5. Filter the Vendor Part Number column by your part number.

  6. Review the filtered report to find the Transaction Number related to your part.

  7. Copy the Transaction Number to your clipboard. You’ll need this number in the next step.

    Tip: Highlight the number in the Transaction Number field and press Ctrl + C on your keyboard to quickly copy the number to your clipboard.

  8. Go to the navigation bar and click Search .

  9. Click the Search dropdown and select Purchase Order.

  10. Past the Transaction Number you copied into the Number field.

  11. Click Search . The results show the purchase order associated with your part number.

By following these steps, you can locate any purchase order in ServiceTitan using just a part number.
