What’s in the box

GPS Data Logger

A green Azuga device used for vehicle tracking and telematics solutions.

The device is sent with standard cables attached

Warning: The device must not be installed in vehicles with a battery source greater than 24V DC. Please identify a constant power source before installing the device and use a digital voltmeter to identify wiring and voltage.

Installation - Hardwired

  1. Make sure your vehicle is parked outside with a clear view of the sky to ensure a proper GPS reading right away. If your vehicle is parked in a garage or inside a building, you may not be able to get a GPS location reading right away. You should receive a GPS location reading once you drive around in open sky conditions.

  2. Make sure the vehicle’s ignition is off.

  3. Identify the location where the device must be installed. It is recommended to secure the device in a hidden location away from moving parts. Suggested locations are:

    1. Underneath the steering column

    2. Underneath the passenger side dash

Note: The device has an affixed label that shows which side should face up. The device must be located at least 6 inches away from metal to avoid interference with the built-in GPS antenna.

  4. Find all relevant wiring sources and strip the wiring insulation to expose wires and connect the wiring. This is referred to as a poke and wrap method. Connect the red wire to 12V or 24V constant power and ground the black wire.

  5. Turn on the vehicle ignition and wait for a few minutes.

  6. LED lights on the GPS device should start flashing.

  7. Make sure the green LED light flashes for five seconds. This indicates the device is ready to use.

  8. If the red LED blinks, the installation failed. Remove the GPS device and repeat steps 1–7.

  9. Place the device in your chosen location and secure it with tie-wraps.

Note: The device has a plastic housing with slot holes, but it is rarely necessary to use them. It isn’t required to drill holes and secure the device. These slots are available as an option in case bolting the device to a surface is necessary.

  10. Your vehicle should now be visible on Fleet Pro.

Note: If the device is removed for vehicle servicing or diagnostics, it must be reinstalled afterwards.

Set up Fleet Pro

After you’ve installed your hardware, you need to match the hardware to your vehicles and drivers in ServiceTitan:

  1. Go to the navigation bar in ServiceTitan and click Fleet Pro .

  2. Click Vehicle Data. There should be a list of 10 digit numbers in the Vehicle Name column which represent the serial numbers of your installed devices.

  3. Click one of the serial numbers listed under the Vehicle Name column.
Table displaying vehicle data with highlighted entries requiring attention for review.

Note: At this point, you need to reference the notes you recorded regarding which device was installed in which vehicle.

  4. On the Vehicle Details screen that opens, click the Assigned Vehicle dropdown. This selection pairs the device data with the truck you’ve specified.

Note: Trucks in this list are pulled from Settings > Trucks & Warehouses. If you don’t see a truck that you need to pair with a device, you can add it there.

  5. Click the Assigned Driver dropdown and assign a driver to the vehicle you chose in step 4.
Vehicle details interface showing assigned driver and vehicle status requiring attention.

  6. The Status transitions to Active.

The status indicator shows the current state as active for the system.

  7. Review and fill out the editable fields in the Vehicle Data section. These details are necessary to use alerts and events in Fleet Pro.

  8. When finished, click Save.

Repeat these steps for the rest of your installed devices.
