Best practices

Normally, the activating and deactivating of items in Settings is something to do one-by-one. In a few situations, however, you will find that activating and deactivating in bulk can be helpful and time-saving.

Situations where you might want to deactivate or activate in bulk include the following:

  • When you begin using ServiceTitan, you will want to activate all of your users (employees and technicians) so that you can get started.

  • If your business is affected by the time of year, you would want to mass deactivate technicians on a seasonal basis.

  • In case you change or update your marketing strategy, you would want to deactivate several of your campaigns at once.

Activate and deactivate items in bulk

To activate or deactivate in bulk:

  1. Go to the area of Settings where you want to make your changes. For example, if you want to deactivate several office employee profiles, go to Settings > People > Employees.

  2. Select the items on the list that you want to bulk activate or deactivate. In the example above, it would be office users.

Note: You can view which items are active or inactive by looking for the checkmark in the Active column. You can also use that column to filter your view so that you only see active or inactive items.

  3. Click Activate or Deactivate to activate or deactivate the selected items.

  4. When prompted by the pop-up, click Yes to confirm your bulk activation or deactivation.
