Solution

To track open jobs by customer, you can use the Job Costing Summary report.

Customize the Job Costing Summary report

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Reports.

  2. Search for and select the Job Costing Summary Report.

  3. From the Filter by dropdown, select Job Creation Date.

  4. Select the dates you want to run the report for.

  5. Select Edit Columns.

  6. Select Completion Date, Customer Name or Customer ID, Status, and any other columns you want to include in the report.

  7. Click Apply to add the columns to the report.

  8. Click Run Report.

  9. Drag the Customer Name or Customer ID column header and drop it on the purple bar above the report to group your results by customer.

  10. Click Filter for the Completion Date column, select Is Null, and click Filter. This filters the report to only show jobs that haven't been completed.

  11. (Optional) Click Filter for the Status column, select Is not one of canceled, and click Filter. This excludes canceled jobs from the report.

  12. Click Save Changes to save these report settings for future use.

This process allows you to create a report showing open jobs by customer for your selected date range.
