Overview

Coming soon — Fall 2026 release

Analytics 3.0 is a rebuilt reporting and analytics experience inside ServiceTitan. It gives your team one set of dashboards, with each person seeing only the data they are entitled to.

Build dashboards from reusable modules and filter them across tabs. Set alerts on the numbers you care about, and email a dashboard to your team on a schedule.

This guide covers:

  • Setup, permissions, and domain-based data access

  • Dashboards, modules, tabs, and filters

  • Alerts, scheduled delivery, and Atlas questions

Benefits

  • Grant data access through a short list grouped metrics instead of dozens of reporting templates

  • Keep one dashboard for the whole team, and show each person only their own data

  • See when a dashboard last refreshed, so nobody debates whether the numbers are current

Who uses this feature

  • Administrators, office employees, and technicians

  • Applies to Commercial Service, Commercial Construction, and Roofing business types

Feature configuration

  • Analytics 3.0 is currently in Private Preview and available for specific accounts. It is subject to change. To request access for your account, contact your success or implementation manager.

  • The Works package or above is required to use this feature.

  • Account configuration is required to use this feature. Analytics 3.0 is turned on for your whole account at once, and everyone in your account gets access at the same time.

  • Some accounts are set up with domain-based data access only, without the new Analytics pages. If you manage domain access but do not see the new dashboards, your account is set up this way.

  • The See Analytics Settings permission is required to manage Analytics 3.0 permissions and domain access. Contact the account administrator on your team.

Note: If your account has domain-based data access only, use Domains and data permissions in this guide. The dashboard sections do not apply to you.

Things to know

  • Analytics 3.0 runs alongside your previous reports and dashboards. Nothing is migrated, and you move between them freely.

  • Domain access decides what data you see, and general permissions decide what you can do. You need both.

  • When you lack access to the data behind a module, the module does not appear. Nothing explains why.

Understand the vocabulary

Analytics 3.0 introduces a few terms. Learn these first, because the rest of this guide uses them throughout.

Term

What it means

Dashboard

The page you open. Dashboards are what you share, export, schedule, and bookmark.

Module

A single chart, table, or number on a dashboard. You create, move, and export modules, and set alerts on them.

Tab

A section of a dashboard, holding its own set of modules. A dashboard holds up to 20 tabs.

Column

A field you can use in a dashboard. Every column is either a measure or an attribute.

Domain

A grouping of metrics and attributes. Domains are how you grant data access.

Intelligence Center

Where you create and manage alerts on your metrics.

Atlas

The ServiceTitan assistant that answers business questions in plain language.

Know the two types of column

Every column is one of two types, and the difference decides how you use it.

  • A measure is a number you can total, average, or compare, such as total sales or job count.

  • An attribute is something you group or slice by, such as Business Unit, trade, or job type.

A dashboard module usually combines both. You pick a measure to see, then an attribute to break it down by.

The difference also shapes domain access:

  • Every measure belongs to exactly one domain. Granting the domain grants the measure.

  • Attributes are not assigned to a domain. They slice the metrics in any domain you have been granted.

  • An attribute that needs protecting goes in the Sensitive Data domain. You can then withhold it on its own.

Note: ServiceTitan is still finalizing interface text across Analytics 3.0. Labels in this guide can change before General Availability.

Get started

To start using Analytics 3.0:

  1. Request access to turn the feature on for your account.

  2. Set general permissions and domain access.

  3. Open Analytics and find your dashboards.

Step 1: Turn on Analytics 3.0 for your account

Analytics 3.0 is turned on for your whole account, not for individual people. After it is on, everyone in your account has access. There is no invitation step.

Some accounts are set up with domain-based data access only. The new Analytics pages require both that data access and the Analytics 3.0 experience itself.

What each person can then do, and which data they can do it to, comes from the settings in Step 2.

One change is visible right away. In Settings, a new entry Reporting Analytics 3.0 is available.

Note: Learn what the new Reporting Analytics 3.0 entry covers before you configure permissions for Analytics 3.0.

Step 2: Set permissions and data access

Analytics 3.0 uses two layers of control, and a person needs both.

  • General Permissions control what a person can do, such as build dashboards or export data.

  • Standard Domain Access controls which data they can do those things to.

Someone with every general permission and no domain access can open Analytics and see almost no numbers. Someone with full domain access and no general permissions sees the data. They cannot export it, schedule it, or set an alert on it.

Each permission and each domain is granted or not granted. There is no middle setting.

Note: Administrators receive every permission and every domain by default. Assign onward from there, granting each role only what it needs.

To set general permissions:

  1. Go to the top toolbar and click Settings.

  2. Select People > Role Permissions.

  3. Click the Roles tab, then search for the role you want.

  4. Click the row to open its permission detail.

  5. Search for Reporting Analytics 3.0.

  6. Under General Permissions, select the permissions to grant.

  1. Click Save Changes.

The general permissions are:

Permission

What it grants

Access to Analytics 3.0 Platform

Access to the entire Analytics 3.0 platform. Without it, Analytics is not present and cannot be clicked.

Allow access to analytics overview

Allows viewing of the analytics overview dashboard.

Manage all dashboards

Allows creating, editing, and managing all analytics dashboards.

Allow Scheduling & Exporting

Creating and managing schedules, exporting a dashboard, and exporting a single module.

Allow Access to Intelligence Center

Access to the Intelligence Center, where you create and manage alerts.

Note: A withheld permission hides the capability rather than refusing it. Without Allow Scheduling & Exporting, a person sees no Schedule or Export options at all.

Note: Edit role permissions for Enterprise Hub employees in Enterprise Hub, not on this page. A banner on the page says so.

Configure by role or by person

The Reporting Analytics 3.0 can be configured by Role or by person. To configure by person, select Settings > People > Employees and locate the employee you want to adjust permissions for.

There are no bulk actions. Change one role or one person at a time.

Tip: Model your access in roles from the start. ServiceTitan is phasing out per-person configuration, so move anything you set up now into roles later.

Step 3: Open Analytics

In the side menu, click Analytics. You land on the Overview page. Without the Allow Access to Analytics 3.0 Platform permission, you do not have Analytics in the menu.

Domains and data permissions

A domain is a grouping of metrics and attributes. Domains are how you decide which data each role can see.

Domain access works across your reporting, whether or not your account has the new dashboards.

Before Analytics 3.0, data access meant working through roughly 35 separate report template toggles. Domains replace those toggles with a short list of decisions. ServiceTitan assigns each metric to a domain during development, so the grouping is the same in every account.

Domain access governs the whole experience, automatically and consistently. You make the decision once per domain, and it holds everywhere. Domain access decides:

  • Which modules a person sees on a dashboard

  • What a recipient sees in a shared dashboard

  • What appears in an export

  • What each recipient receives in a scheduled delivery

  • Which metrics a person can build an alert on

Set domain access for a role

  1. Go to the top toolbar and click Settings.

  2. Select People > Role Permissions.

  3. Search for the role you want.

  4. Click the row to open its permission detail.

  5. In the side panel, go to Reporting Analytics 3.0.

  6. Under Analytics Domains, select each domain this role needs. Deselect a domain to remove access.

  7. Click Save Changes.

Granting a standard domain grants every metric in it. Deselecting a domain hides every metric in it.

Some metrics combine data from more than one domain. You see such a metric only if you have access to every domain behind it.

Grant a standard domain

There are 14 standard domains. Access to a standard domain is all or nothing, so read what a domain covers before you grant it.

Standard domains contain metrics only. No attribute belongs to a standard domain.

Each metric belongs to exactly one standard domain, never two. Granting the domain is the only way to grant its metrics.

Attributes work differently. They are not members of a standard domain. Instead they slice the metrics in whichever domains you have granted. Only a special domain can contain an attribute.

Note: This list is accurate as of September 14, 2026. ServiceTitan teams add metrics to domains continuously, so what sits inside a domain grows over time. The domain list itself changes rarely.

Four domains hold no metrics yet: Agreements & Memberships, AP & Payables, Inventory & Procurement, and Customers & Locations. Granting one of these today gives access to nothing. They are reserved for metrics ServiceTitan adds later.

Tip: What sits inside a domain changes as ServiceTitan adds metrics. Treat the descriptions above as a guide to scope, not a fixed inventory.

Grant a special domain

Two domains work differently. Both hold metrics and attributes that cut across the 14 standard domains.

Domain

What you grant access to

Columns

Foundational Data

The everyday reference data nearly everyone needs, whatever their standard domain access. Attributes only.

10 attributes

Sensitive Data

Data that needs tighter control. Personal details, and figures attributed to a named employee.

13 metrics, 8 attributes

Foundational Data — Business Unit, Business Unit City, Business Unit State, Campaign Name, Customer Name, Customer Type, Division, Location Name, Tenant Name, Trade

Sensitive Data, metrics — Overall Score, Booking Rate, Legacy Booking Rate, Booked Calls, Legacy Booked Calls, Gap vs Peer Median, Margin Above Peer Median, Trailing Median Booking Rate, Improvement Points, Estimated Bookings Lost, Estimated Bookings Gained, Section Score, Coaching Overall Score

Sensitive Data, attributes — Agent Email, Agent Name, Agent ID, Agent Key, Entity ID, Entity Name, Pass/Fail, Recommendation Tag

Follow three domain rules

  1. Metrics in a standard domain are all or nothing. Granting a standard domain grants every metric in it. You cannot grant a standard domain and withhold one metric. For that level of control, the metric belongs in a special domain, and only ServiceTitan can move it.

  2. The attribute list is maintained for you. Each domain lists the attributes its metrics can be broken down by. ServiceTitan derives that list from the underlying data, so it updates as the data does.

  3. A supported attribute does not mean every metric can be broken down by it. The supported-attribute list is the outer boundary for the domain. Whether a metric can be sliced by a particular attribute follows the underlying data.

Recognize restricted access

Restricted content is hidden, not marked as unavailable. There is no message and no placeholder. Two people can open the same dashboard and see different modules, and nothing on screen explains the difference.

Hiding cascades upward. A module is hidden if you lack access to any metric in it. A dashboard is hidden if every module on it is hidden.

Check domain access first when someone reports any of these:

  • A module a colleague can see is missing from their dashboard

  • A whole dashboard a colleague can see is missing from their list

  • An export is missing a section

  • A scheduled delivery looks different from a teammate's copy

Use the Overview page

Overview is the landing page for Analytics. It replaces the habit of hunting through menus. The page has four areas.

Enter a business question in plain language, then click Ask Atlas. See Ask Atlas a question.

Watchlist

The metrics you have chosen to keep an eye on. Each card shows the metric's current value, a comparison figure, and a trend line.

Click a card to open the dashboard the metric came from. Your watchlist is personal to you.

To add a metric, open its module and click More, then click Add to Watchlist.

Recently opened and bookmarks

Two tabs, each with a count badge. Recently Opened lists the dashboards you visited most recently, newest first, up to six. Bookmarks lists the dashboards you saved.

Each card shows the dashboard's name, description, owner, and last-opened date. A badge reads Built-In, Created by Me, or Shared with Me. Use the toggle to switch between cards and a list.

Work with dashboards

Find a dashboard

The Dashboards page lists every dashboard available to you.

  • Click the All tab to see everything you can reach. Click Built-In to see only ServiceTitan dashboards.

  • Click Created by to filter to dashboards built by a particular person.

  • Click Sort by to reorder by creation date or name.

  • Enter text in the search box to filter the list.

  • Use the toggle to switch between cards and a list.

Each card shows the dashboard's name, description, type badge, owner, and last-updated date.

Tip: Write a description for every dashboard you create. A colleague deciding whether to open your dashboard has little else to go on.

Understand which built-in dashboards you see

ServiceTitan publishes built-in dashboards for residential, commercial, and exteriors work. You see the ones that match your business, so your list differs from another company's.

If your company works across more than one of these, you see the dashboards for all of them.

Built-in dashboards are published and maintained by ServiceTitan, so you cannot edit them directly. To build your own version, make a copy first. The copy is fully yours to edit. See Act on a whole dashboard.

Note: ServiceTitan sets this based on your account. You cannot change which built-in dashboards your business matches.

Create a dashboard

  1. On the Dashboards page, click + New dashboard.

  2. On the empty dashboard, click Add Module.

  3. Select the data model you want to build from.

  1. Describe what you want to see, build the visualization, and save it.

  2. Repeat for each module you want.

The saved result lands on your dashboard as a module. Creating a dashboard requires the Create / Edit Dashboards permission.

Note: Each module draws on one data model. To combine data from several models in a single module, you need a custom data model, which is not available yet.

Note: You can only build modules from metrics your domain access permits.

Organize a dashboard with tabs

In edit mode, add, rename, reorder, or delete a tab. A dashboard holds up to 20 tabs. You can also move a module from one tab to another.

Tabs matter for filtering, because you can apply a filter to specific tabs. See Filter a dashboard.

Act on a whole dashboard

Some actions sit on the page, and some sit under a More menu.

Action

What it does

Ask Atlas

Opens Atlas with the dashboard as context

Share

Grants access to people or roles. See Share a dashboard

Edit Dashboard

Changes the dashboard's layout and contents

Copy and Modify

Creates an editable copy of a built-in dashboard

Export

Downloads the whole dashboard as a PDF

Present

Opens a full-screen presentation mode for meetings

Schedule

Sets up recurring delivery. See Schedule dashboard delivery

Rename and Delete also sit under More. Edit and Delete require edit access granted through sharing. A person without it sees no option at all, and the dashboard is read-only.

Note: ServiceTitan maintains built-in dashboards, and you cannot edit them directly. To change one, click More, then click Copy and Modify. The copy is fully yours to edit.

Note: PDF is the only format for exporting a whole dashboard. An export contains only the modules you can see, so your copy can differ from a colleague's.

Act on a single module

Click More on a module to reach its actions.

Action

What it does

Create an alert on this

Sets a threshold or scheduled alert on the metric

Explore

Opens a temporary investigation of the module, without changing it

Edit

Changes the module's configuration permanently

Move

Relocates the module to a different dashboard

Add to Watchlist

Adds the metric to your Overview watchlist

Export

Downloads that module on its own, as CSV, XLSX, or PDF

Rename and Make a copy also sit under More.

Tip: Explore and Edit are easy to confuse. Explore lets you ask new questions, swap filters, and swap metrics, and the original module stays unchanged. Edit changes what the module permanently shows.

Check how fresh the data is

Every dashboard shows a Data fresh as of indicator in the header, next to the title. The timestamp shows in your own time zone.

Three details matter:

  • The timestamp is the last successful data refresh, not the current time.

  • On a dashboard drawing on several data sources, the indicator shows the oldest refresh time.

  • Applying a filter does not change the timestamp.

You do not need an extra permission. Anyone who can view a dashboard sees the indicator.

See metric definitions

Every metric can carry a description explaining what it measures. Hover over the metric, or click the Information icon next to it.

Tip: Point people here when they disagree about a number. Most disagreements about a number are really disagreements about its definition.

Open a ServiceTitan record from a dashboard

Record identifiers, such as a job ID or an invoice ID, show as links. Click one to open that record in ServiceTitan. This works when you view a dashboard and while you build one.

Filter a dashboard

Filters in Analytics 3.0 apply to whichever tabs and modules you choose. Narrow one tab to a single business unit, and leave a company-wide summary tab unchanged.

Create a filter

  1. On the dashboard, click Manage Filters. A drawer opens over the dashboard.

  2. Find the column you want. ServiceTitan groups columns by data model, and each group collapses and expands. Enter text in the search box to filter the list.

  3. Click the Filter icon on the column's row.

  4. Add your conditions. The available operators depend on the column's type, so a date column offers date operators. To span more than one field, join another column.

  5. Rename the filter to something a colleague understands, such as Q3 underperformers.

  6. Choose which tabs and modules the filter applies to. Select a whole tab to apply it to every module on that tab.

  7. Click Save.

Note: The same column name can appear under more than one data model. Those are different fields holding different data, and the grouping is what lets you tell them apart.

Tip: A single filter can express something such as revenue above target combined with conversion below 60%.

Find your active filters

An active filter shows as a chip in the filter bar, after the Refresh control.

After you add a fourth custom filter, + Add filter becomes More filters. Manage all filters in the drawer. Nothing is lost when the chips disappear.

Resolve a filter conflict

A conflict arises when two filters cover the same column on the same module. One is dashboard-level, and one is module-level. ServiceTitan warns you rather than silently applying one and discarding the other.

First change the dashboard-level filter to exclude that module. Then set the module filter.

Share a dashboard

Share a dashboard with individual people or with user roles.

Tip: Share with a role rather than a person. A role survives people joining and leaving your company.

  1. On the dashboard, click Share.

  2. Select the people or roles to share with.

  3. Set the access level to Can View or Can Edit.

  1. To grant recipients any missing data access, click Give View Access to missing domains.

  2. Click Share.

Understand the two access levels

  • Can View gives read-only access to the dashboard.

  • Can Edit lets the recipient change the dashboard's layout and configuration, rename it, and delete it.

Caution: Can Edit includes deletion. Grant it deliberately.

Know what sharing does not do

The access level controls what a person can do with the dashboard. It does not control what data they can see. A recipient with Can Edit can still see only part of a dashboard, because domain access decides the rest.

A module is hidden when the recipient lacks access to its metrics. Nothing on screen explains its absence.

Use Give View Access to missing domains only when the recipient is entitled to that data. Do not use it to work around a restriction that exists on purpose.

Know who can share onward

Anyone with access to a dashboard can share it further. That includes the owner and anyone the dashboard was shared with.

Resharing passes on the dashboard, not the data. Each recipient still sees only what their domain access permits.

Note: There is no link that grants access to whoever holds it. You grant access to named people or roles.

Set alerts in the Intelligence Center

The Intelligence Center in Analytics is where you create and manage alerts on your metrics. This area requires the Allow Access to Intelligence Center permission.

Tip: You can also reach it from a module. Click More, then click Create an alert on this.

Choose an alert type

Type

When it fires

How it reaches you

Threshold alert

When the metric crosses a limit you set

In the application

Scheduled alert

On the cadence you set, whether or not anything changed

By email

A threshold alert tells you when something goes wrong, and stays silent when everything is fine. A scheduled alert reports the metric on a set cadence, whatever the numbers show.

Create an alert

  1. In the side menu, click Analytics > Intelligence Center.

  2. Select Add Alert.

  3. Choose a dashboard you want to alert on.

  4. Then select the metric you want to watch.

  5. Select the alert type.

  1. Set the threshold value, or set the delivery schedule.

  2. Set how often the metric is checked. Choose hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly.

  1. Select who receives the alert. Choose yourself, other people, or both.

  2. Click Save.

Tip: Keep a dashboard filter in the alert without saving it to the dashboard. You can then alert on revenue for one business unit without changing the shared dashboard.

Manage your alerts

The Intelligence Center lists your alerts with each one's type, metric, condition, frequency, and status. From there, edit, pause, resume, unsubscribe from, or delete an alert.

Tip: Pause an alert during a known busy period instead of deleting it.

New and unread triggered alerts feed the count badge on the Overview page.

Note: You can only create alerts on metrics your domain access permits.

Schedule dashboard delivery

Scheduling sends a whole dashboard to a list of people on a recurring basis. Use it when someone wants the weekly numbers emailed to the leadership team every Monday.

Scheduling requires the Allow Scheduling & Exporting permission.

Tip: You can also reach it from a dashboard. Click More, then click Schedule. Reached that way, it covers that dashboard alone.

Create a schedule

  1. In the side menu, click Analytics > Schedule Dashboards.

  2. Click Add to Schedule.

  1. Select the dashboard to schedule.

  2. Enter a name for the schedule.

  3. Set the recurrence to daily, weekly, or monthly, then set the time and time zone.

  4. Select the recipients. Choose individual people, groups, or both.

  1. Select the delivery format, such as PDF or comma-separated values (CSV).

  2. To send the dashboard as you currently see it, include the filters applied to it.

  3. Enter a subject line and a message, then click Save.

Tip: Set the time zone deliberately if your company operates across several. A regional manager can schedule a company-wide dashboard filtered to one region.

Manage your schedules

The Manage Schedules view lists each schedule's name, dashboard, cadence, recipients, format, and creator. From there, edit, pause, resume, or delete a schedule.

Know how data access affects deliveries

Each recipient gets only the modules they can see. One schedule sent to six people can produce six different documents.

This is correct behavior. It keeps scheduling from becoming a way around your permission settings.

Ask Atlas a question

On the Overview page, enter a business question in the search bar. Click Ask Atlas.

Atlas opens with your question already submitted. You get the same answer whichever way you ask, because the same assistant answers both.

Note: You no longer choose which data model to search. Atlas finds the right one.

Use Analytics 3.0 in Enterprise Hub

Enterprise Hub includes the same Analytics experience, for organizations that manage several accounts.

Three things differ:

  • Enterprise Hub has its own Reporting Analytics 3.0. It uses the same two layers.

  • Enterprise Hub adds the View Analytics Module permission, which grants base access to Analytics there.

  • Edit role permissions for Enterprise Hub employees in Enterprise Hub, not in ServiceTitan.

Note: Analytics 3.0 is a separate module in Enterprise Hub. It sits alongside your existing Rollup Reporting and Rollup Dashboards modules rather than replacing them.

Switch between Analytics 3.0 and your previous reports

After Analytics 3.0 is on for your account, both experiences run side by side. Analytics 3.0 does not replace your previous reports and dashboards, and nothing is migrated for you.

Move between the two at any time, in either direction. There is no limit on how often you switch, no waiting period, and no confirmation step.

To reach Analytics 3.0, click the button at the top right of the page. You can also click the action on the banner announcing the new experience. Each takes you to Analytics, with a way back to your previous dashboards.

When you switch, you land on the equivalent page in the other experience.

Caution: Filter selections and results on screen do not carry across the switch. The page you land on opens in its default state.

Common questions

A module your colleague can see is missing

Your domain access does not include that module's data, so the module is hidden. Ask your administrator to grant the domain. The person who shared the dashboard can also use Give View Access to missing domains.

Analytics is missing from the menu

You lack the Allow Access to Analytics 3.0 Platform permission. Ask your administrator to grant it.

Filter chips have disappeared

You have more than three custom filters, so filter management moved into the drawer. Click More filters to reach them. Nothing has been lost.

A ServiceTitan dashboard cannot be edited

ServiceTitan maintains built-in dashboards, and you cannot edit them directly. Click More, then click Copy and Modify to make an editable copy.

The data may not be current

Check the Data fresh as of indicator in the dashboard header. On a dashboard drawing on several data sources, it shows the oldest refresh time. Applying a filter does not change it.

A scheduled report is missing a section

This is correct behavior. Each recipient gets only the modules they can see, so one schedule can produce different documents for different people.

The Export action is missing

You lack the Allow Scheduling & Exporting permission. That permission hides every export action, the Schedule menu item, and the Schedule action on a dashboard.

An alert has produced nothing

A threshold alert stays silent until the metric crosses your limit, so silence means nothing is wrong. For a regular update either way, create a scheduled alert instead.

Filters are lost when you switch back

This is expected. The switch takes you to the equivalent page, but it does not carry filter selections or results across.

Access is granted to named people or user roles through the Share action. There is no link that grants access to whoever holds it.

Exploring a chart changes nothing

Explore is temporary and does not alter the original module. Edit is the action that makes permanent changes.
