Find the location and status of a part based on a serial number

By following these steps, you can find the current location and status of a part based on its serial number, providing the configuration Serialized Inventory is enabled and in use.

1. In the main navigation, click on Reports

2. Click on Create Report

3. Select Purchasing and Inventory as a Report Type

4. Select Inventory Line Items as the Report Template

5. Check the boxes next to the field you enter serial numbers into and click Next.

6. Give the report a Name and Category and click Save.

7. Select the dates to run the report from and to

8. Click Run Report

9. In the column used to store serial numbers, click on the Filter icon

10. Enter the serial number you are looking for and click Filter

11. The results will narrow to your selected part.
