Troubleshooting
Role: Administrator · Accountant · BookkeeperArea: Accounting · Transaction Hub · Payment Terms · All versions
What you're seeing
You want to use Transaction Hub, but you don't have Payment Terms enabled and you'd prefer to leave it that way. Transaction Hub won't turn on until Payment Terms is enabled.
Why this happens
Reason 1
This is intentional, not a bug.
Transaction Hub can't be enabled without Payment Terms because its modules need due dates to correctly bucket aging invoices and customer payments. Without payment terms, there's no due date to age those transactions against.
Before you start
You need the Edit payment terms permission to enable Payment Terms in ServiceTitan settings.
Enabling Payment Terms sets a default term of Due Upon Receipt for both customers and vendors. You aren't required to set specific terms beyond that default.
Caution: If you use a QuickBooks integration, be aware that enabling Payment Terms in ServiceTitan overrides any payment terms set up in QuickBooks.
How to fix it
To use Transaction Hub, enable Payment Terms.
1Enable Payment Terms, then enable Transaction Hub
Enable Payment Terms in ServiceTitan. If you use a QuickBooks integration, note that this overrides any payment terms set up in QuickBooks.
Both customers and vendors are given a default payment term of Due Upon Receipt. Adjust individual terms later if needed.
Enable Transaction Hub, which is now available once Payment Terms is on.
✓ Done · Transaction Hub is enabled, and your invoices and payments age correctly against their due dates.
