What is causing Dialpad to kick me into off-duty status and how can I fix it?

Problem

Dialpad changes your status from Available to Off Duty.

Solution

If you miss a call, Dialpad marks you Off Duty automatically. This issue may also be due to having too many active browser ring-to devices linked to your account.

Check for missed calls

Check if you missed any calls around the time you went Off Duty. Missing calls can change your status to Off Duty, so you'll need to manually set your status back to Available.

To mark yourself Available in Dialpad:

  1. Go to your Dialpad application.

  2. Click the Department or Ai Contact Center you are assigned to.

  3. Click Agents and enable the Active toggle next to your name. Cursor clicking the Active toggle next to your name

Remove unnecessary devices

  1. Go to your Dialpad account.

  2. Navigate to Your Settings > Your Devices.

  3. Review the list of devices. You might see more devices than necessary.

  4. Remove all devices except the one you primarily use.        

    1. Click More > Delete device from listCursor clicking Delete device from list

  5. After removing the excess devices, log out of Dialpad.

  6. Log back into Dialpad. This ensures only the necessary device is active.
