Archive timesheet activity

Overview

If you no longer need or use a specific timesheet activity, you can archive it. This helps you clean up your list without impacting historical timesheets or pay. It also removes the activity from the selection list for both office employees and technicians.


Who uses this feature

  • Administrators

  • Primarily for Commercial Service and Replacement business types.

Things to know

  • If your company is still in Onboarding status and not yet live, you can deactivate timesheet activities. After your company is live, you can only archive an activity. You can’t deactivate any timesheet activities that have time logged.

  • Archived activities are displayed in reports, while deactivated activities are not.

Archive timesheet activity

  1. Go to the top toolbar and click SettingsA simple icon representing a settings gear.

  2. In the Settings screen, go to People > Payroll.

  3. On the Payroll Settings screen, go to the Timesheet Activities section and click Edit.

  4. Locate the timesheet activity you want to archive, then click More Actions> Archive.

Deactivate timesheet activity

After a timesheet activity is archived, if there is no time logged against the activity, you can deactivate it. Click More Actions> Deactivate

Unarchive timesheet activity

You can unarchive the timesheet activity by clicking More Actions> Unarchive

The timesheet activity moves back to the In Use tab of the Timesheet Activities table and can be used to log time again.
