What you're seeing
You've bypassed a batch, or you have imported data, invoices, or payments that are locked, and you can't edit or re-export them. The records are locked, so you're stuck until they're unlocked.
Why this happens
There is 1 common reason.
Reason 1
Locked by design to protect your accounting records.
Bypassed batches and imported invoices, payments, and data are locked by design to protect your accounting records. Unlocking them isn't something you can do from inside ServiceTitan. Technical Support has to unlock them from the backend, and only after confirming you accept responsibility for keeping your accounting software in sync.
How to fix it
1Contact Technical Support to unlock the records
Use this if you need a bypassed batch, imported data, invoices, or payments unlocked so you can edit or re-export them.
Before you start
You must be an assigned Admin in ServiceTitan to have imported or bypassed data unlocked. If you aren't an Admin, an Admin must be present and ready to PIN verify.
Confirm the transactions in the batch are not already exported before contacting Support. You can check by viewing the transaction's audit history in your accounting software (for example, in QuickBooks).
Technical Support can't unlock batches that have already been exported. To unlock those, bypass the invoice or payment associated with them instead.
Note: If you have Support unlock a bypassed batch, manually add the items from that batch in your accounting software. This is the most effective way to prevent duplicates from re-exporting the same data.
Contact the ServiceTitan Support team at go.servicetitan.com/ask.
Be prepared to provide your ServiceTitan account PIN number.
Agree to the terms of the consent form: "We are confirming that this action is being taken at your direction and that you have sole responsibility for ensuring that the appropriate financial changes are being made in QuickBooks. ServiceTitan is unable to assist with or verify that these changes are made in QuickBooks, and therefore assumes no liability."
✓ Done · After you agree to the consent form, Support unlocks your batch so you can edit and export it to your accounting software.
Still not working?
If the records are still locked, or you're unsure whether a batch was already exported, contact ServiceTitan Technical Support at go.servicetitan.com/ask with:
The batch number, and the invoice or payment numbers involved
Whether the items were bypassed or imported
Whether the transactions have already been exported (and the audit-history result if you checked)
Confirmation that an Admin is available to PIN verify
