Things to know
The default tag importance level is Medium. When you create tag types, most of them should stay Medium. If you mark too many tags as High importance, then nothing will stand out as a priority on the Dispatch Board.
On the Dispatch Board, tags are arranged by importance level, and then alphabetically. For example, if the tags for a customer are Member, Urgent, and 2015 Customer and the Urgent tag is marked as High importance, you see the tags in the following order: Urgent, 2015 Customer, and Member.
Example tags
High Value, with a short code of HV, to call out jobs that are likely to lead to increased revenue.
Urgent, with a short code of two exclamation point emojis, to immediately bring focus to jobs that are the most important.
Set up a tag for the Dispatch Board
Go to the top toolbar and click Settings
.In the side panel, go to Operations > Tag Types.
On the Tag Types screen that opens, click Add.
On the Add a Tag Type screen that opens, choose a color for the tag, name the tag, and add a short code for the tag.
Tip: Keep the short code as brief as possible so that more of them can show on the job bubble. Emojis are a great way to save space in short codes. For example, for the Urgent tag, you could add the exclamation point emoji. To add an emoji, right-click in the Code field and select Emojis & Symbols.
Choose the importance level for the tag. Most tags are Medium, which is the default.
(Optional) Select Conversion opportunity if you want all jobs marked with this tag to be considered a conversion opportunity. For more, see Set up your account for replacement opportunities.
Select Show on Dispatch Board.
When finished, click Save.
