Manage client specific pricing rules

Overview

Learn how to edit or duplicate a client specific pricing rule, activate or deactivate it as your needs change, and set it as the default for Residential or Commercial customer types so it applies automatically when no customer-specific sheet is assigned.

    • View Pricing Rates

    • Create/Edit Pricing Rates

Things to know

  • Changes to a client-specific pricing rule are saved only after you complete all steps by clicking Next and then Create Rule.

View client specific pricing rules

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Pricebook .

  2. In the side panel, go to Pricing Builder.

  3. The Client Specific Pricing screen displays your rate sheets in a table with the following columns:

    1. Name: Name of the rate sheet

    2. Description: Description of the rate sheet

    3. Customers: Number of customers using the rate sheet

    4. Locations: Number of service locations using the rate sheet

    5. Last Modified: Most recent date the rule was edited

    6. Active: Whether the rule sheet is active or not

Tip: Click Filter to include inactive rate sheets in the table.

Edit a client specific pricing rule

On the Client Specific Pricing screen, click Actions in the Active column and select View/Edit Details to edit an existing rate sheet.

Note: If you update an existing rate sheet, all customers and locations with this rate sheet will be updated. You can duplicate this rate sheet if you don’t want to change existing rate sheets.

Deactivate a client specific pricing rule

  1. On the Client Specific Pricing screen, click Actions in the Active column and select Deactivate.

  2. On the Deactivate Rule pop-up that opens, click Deactivate.

Reactivate a client specific pricing rule

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Pricebook .

  2. In the side panel, go to Pricing Builder.

  3. On the Client Specific Pricing screen, click Filters .

  4. Select the Inactive status and click Apply.

  5. All deactivated rate sheets are displayed. Find the rate sheet you want to reactivate, click Actions in the Active column and select Activate.

Set a default rate sheet

Set a rate sheet as the default for a customer type. If no customer specific rate sheet is assigned, the default for that type is applied automatically to the customer’s jobs.

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Pricebook .

  2. In the side panel, go to Pricing Builder.

  3. On the Client Specific Pricing screen, find the rate sheet you want to use as default and click Actions

  4. Select the customer type you want to set this rate sheet as default:

    1. Residential

    2. Commercial

  5. To clear a default, click next to the selected type.

Note: A customer specific rate sheet, if assigned, always overrides the default.
