Manage maintenance materials on equipment types

Overview

Add maintenance materials to each equipment type to use them in the Equipment drawer and on maintenance schedules. This way, you can standardize setup, improve accuracy, and streamline maintenance planning.


Who uses this feature

  • Administrators

  • Primarily for Commercial Service business types

  • Applies to all trades

Feature configuration

  • This feature is currently in Private Preview and available for specific accounts. It is subject to change.

  • Account configuration is required to use this feature. Please contact Technical Support for details.

Things to know

  • Create equipment types by going to Settings > Equipment > Equipment Types. For more, see Manage equipment types.

  • Setup maintenance schedules on equipment types for automated Service Agreement creation flows. For more, see Maintenance schedule.

  • Track maintenance details in the Equipment drawer. For more, see Manage maintenance details.

Add maintenance materials

  1. Go to the top toolbar and click Settings A simple icon representing a settings gear..

  2. In the side panel, go to Equipment > Equipment Types.

  3. Add or edit an equipment type.

  4. On the Equipment Type screen, go to the Maintenance Materials section and click + Add Maintenance Materials. Table displaying maintenance materials with options to add or delete items.

  5. Search for the material you want and click Add. This adds the material to the equipment type. Selection menu for maintenance materials with highlighted options for belts and blower wheel cleaner.

    Note: If you don't see the material you need in the list, you can add it by clicking Add, which creates a new custom material that can be used across all equipment types.

Based on your equipment type setup, these materials are automatically available in the Equipment drawer and on maintenance schedules.

Edit a custom maintenance material name

Note: Custom materials are marked with .

  1. Go to the top toolbar and click Settings A simple icon representing a settings gear..

  2. In the side panel, go to Equipment > Equipment Types.

  3. Add or edit an equipment type.

  4. On the Equipment Type screen, go to the Maintenance Materials section.

  5. Click + Add Maintenance Materials.

  6. Search for a custom maintenance material.

  8. In the window that opens, edit the name and click Save. Editing maintenance material name to update existing records, with a save option highlighted.

Delete a custom maintenance material

If the custom material is not used on any equipment types, you can delete it from the list.

Delete maintenance materials

  1. On the Equipment Type screen, go to the Maintenance Materials section.
