Manage tasks for opportunities in CRM

Overview

View and manage all your opportunity tasks in one centralized hub, across every stage of your sales pipeline.


Who uses this feature

  • Administrators, managers, sales managers, and customer service representatives (CSRs)

  • Primarily benefits Commercial Service and Replacement business types

  • Applies to all trades

Feature configuration

View all tasks

You can view all tasks across all opportunities from the Tasks screen or tasks for a single opportunity from the Opportunities screen.

View all tasks on Tasks screen

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click CRM > Tasks.

  2. The Tasks screen opens, where you can:        

    • View all the Open and Completed tasks.

    • Filter tasks by:                

      • Due Date: Date by which the task should be completed. Click it to apply dates from the calendar.

      • Creation Date: Date the task is created. Click it to apply dates from the calendar.

      • Assignee: Employee who is assigned the task.

      • Priority: Level of priority the task is assigned to, such as Low, Medium, or High.

      • Created By: Employee who created the opportunity.                        

        Note: The Created By filter displays tasks for the current employee by default.

    • Edit Columns: Reorder, hide, show, lock, or unlock columns to customize the table layout.

    • View the tasks table that includes the following columns:                

      • Task: Description of the task.

      • Opportunity and Customer: Opportunity and the customer record name. Click it to open the Opportunities drawer.

      • Assignee: Employee who is assigned the task.

      • Due Date: Date by which the task should be completed.

      • Priority: Level of priority the task is assigned to.

View tasks for an opportunity from Opportunities screen

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click CRM > Opportunities.

  2. Select an opportunity and click to open it.

  3. From the Opportunities drawer > Open Tasks section, view all tasks. Overview of tasks for including follow-up actions and deadlines.

Manage tasks

Complete and edit the tasks with simple inline actions.

Complete a task

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click CRM > Tasks.

  2. Select the task you want to complete and click the square. Task management interface showing open tasks with a focus on completing a proposal.

The done task is removed from the Open tab and moved to the Completed tab.

Edit a task

  1. Hover over anywhere on the Task column and click to edit it. Task list showing various assignments with a focus on meeting the manager.

  2. After you finish, click confirm   to save the changes.

Perform bulk actions

Perform bulk actions to reduce manual clicks and save time.

Complete tasks in bulk

On the Tasks screen, select the tasks you want to complete and click Mark As Done.

Assign an employee in bulk

  1. On the Tasks screen, select the tasks you want to assign to the employee and click Assign.

  2. From the pop-up that opens, select an employee and click Assign. Popup window to assign tasks
