You need to recreate a job and its invoice because the invoice for a previously imported job is not in ServiceTitan.

Solution

To recreate a job and its invoice, start by creating a new job and backdating it to the original job date. Then, generate an estimate from this job, making sure to backdate the Sold On date and time as well. Finally, book the job from the estimate, which will automatically create both the job and the corresponding invoice.

Workflow to Resolution

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Calls.

  2. Book a manual job and ensure all job details match the original, including dates and any other information.

  3. Go to the job you created and click Job Actions > Add an Estimate.

  4. Enter the services and products included in the original job. This is important for the invoice.

  5. After you complete the estimate, select Sold/Convert.

  6. Click Edit and scroll down to the Sale Information section.

  7. Edit the Sold on Date and Sold On Time to the date and time the original estimate was sold.

  8. A pop-up window opens to let you know the job's opportunity date will automatically updated to match the new Sold On date. Click Save to continue.

  9. Go to the sold estimate and click Book New Job. This creates a job linked to the estimate.

  10. Go to the job created from the estimate, and you will find the invoice attached. This invoice includes all the details from the estimate.

  11. If you need to send the invoice to the customer, go to the invoice and select Send Invoice.

  12. Choose the method you want to use to send the invoice and complete the process.
