What is causing the business unit box to be grayed out and not allowing you to select one when booking a job from the call booking screen?

Problem

When trying to book a job, the Business Unit dropdown is grayed out. You cannot choose a business unit.

Solution

If you have an assigned business unit (BU) in your employee profile, this BU is automatically selected when you book a job, and the BU dropdown menu will be grayed out. To fix this, remove the assigned BU from your profile.

Remove an assigned BU from an employee profile

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Settings.

  2. In the side panel, go to People > Employees.

  3. Click Edit for the employee who can't select a Business Unit when booking a job.

  4. Remove the selected Business Unit from the profile.

  5. Click Save Changes.

Following these steps, you should now be able to select a BU when booking a job.
