Overview

With the new Global Search, you can quickly find your search records from anywhere in ServiceTitan. Global Search is an addition to the existing Search functionality, which we will continue to support.

  • This feature is currently in Early Access and is subject to change, including adjustments to the user experience, underlying ranking, and overall functionality.

Things to know

  • To open a result in a new window, hold the Command key on Mac or Ctrl for Windows while clicking the link. This opens the link in a new tab or window, depending on your browser settings.

Find your records in Global Search

Global Search extends the existing search functionality by allowing users to quickly search across multiple categories and fields with a single search box. Additionally, it can handle typos and misspellings, allowing for a smoother search experience. Further, it saves the previous search results for quick access.

To use Global Search:

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Search or press CTRL + / on your keyboard. Use your mouse or press Tab on your keyboard to browse the results.

  2. Search for the record you want. The system shows all available options.

  3. Click View All to view more results from a specific category.

  4. Click Advanced Search to go to the Search screen, where you can fine tune results using filters and additional criteria.

If you want to share your feedback, click Share Feedback and write your feedback about Global Search.

Perform quick actions from the Global Search results

After you search for the record you need and the system displays all available options, you can select an icon next to a result to perform various actions:

For Invoices:

  • Click   to collect and apply payments: The Collect and Apply Payments screen opens, allowing you to start collecting payments. For more, see Collect a payment.

  • Click   to add a purchase order: The Create Purchase Order screen opens. Enter the purchase order details. For more, see Create purchase orders.

  • Click   to email the invoice: The Email Invoice screen opens. Fill out the necessary information and send the invoice to the customer. For more see, Print, email, and download customer invoices.

  • Click   print the invoice: A print view of the invoice opens in a new browser tab. You can click Download to save the invoice to your computer or click Print to print a physical copy. For more see, Print, email, and download customer invoices

For jobs:

  • Click   to edit the job: The Edit Job screen opens. You can make changes to the job information as needed. For more see, Edit job information.

  • Click   to go to the job's timesheet: The Timesheets for Job screen opens. ServiceTitan tracks technicians' hours using timesheets. You can run timesheet reports to calculate your technicians' work hours. For more, see Technician Timesheets overview

Tip: Click the location or customer information to open the corresponding Location or Customer page linked to the job or invoice you searched for.
