Static Pricing field is missing from some items in Pricebook

Problem

You're editing a Pricebook item and the Static Price field isn't there, even though you haven't set up Dynamic Pricing rules.

Workflows to Resolution

Why this happens

When a Pricebook item is used as a membership Sales, Renewal, or Billing item, the Static Price field may not appear because ServiceTitan can use membership pricing instead of item-level static pricing.

This depends on the Create Prices setting in the membership type. If Create Prices is set to Yes, ServiceTitan uses the membership pricing table instead of the item's Pricebook pricing, so the Static Pricing field does not appear.

If Create Prices is set to No, the item still uses Pricebook pricing, so the Static Pricing field is available.

Check whether the item is a membership item

Before changing any prices, confirm whether the item is a membership item or a standard service item:

  1. Go to the navigation bar and click Pricebook.

  2. Find the item that is missing the Static Pricing field, click Actions > View/Edit.

  3. Click the Workflow tab.

  4. Check whether one of the following options is selected:

    1. Create and activate membership plan

    2. Renew an existing membership plan

    3. Adjust the membership being sold with the following changes:

If the item is assigned to a membership in one of those roles, the missing Static Pricing field is expected.

Update the membership item price

If the item is a membership Sales, Renewal, or Billing item, update the price in the Membership Type instead of the Pricebook item record:

  1. Go to the top toolbar and click Settings A simple icon representing a settings gear. .

  2. From the side panel, go to Invoicing > Membership Types.

  3. Click Edit next to the membership type you want to edit.

  4. In the top navigation of the Edit Membership guided workflow, click the dropdown arrow for Step 2: Billing and select Create Prices. User interface showing billing steps with highlighted option to create prices.

  5. In the membership pricing table, adjust the selling, billing, and renewal prices as needed for each membership option. Membership pricing table showing monthly and annual billing options with prices listed.

Note: Some fields are greyed out based on the billing and duration type and your answers to the pricing questions.

  6. When finished, click Save & Next until you reach the Summary.
